Had breakfast today. Was talking about what to order at the counter and my friend said she doesn't like poached eggs and decided to order the shakshuka eggs. (there was a lady behind the counter waiting for us to order) I assured her that the eggs are baked. Then I placed my order for eggs benedict. I had my keepcup with me and I placed it on the counter to pay for my order. I also ordered the iced coffee, she asked me what size, I said small. When we sat at the table our drinks arrived first. My iced coffee was brought to me in a plastic cup with a plastic straw, as the guy walks away I said "why did you give it to me in a plastic cup? I'm dining in, I have my keepcup here, if that was the case you could have just used that" he offered to put my drink in the keep cup, I said that defeats the purpose of not using a single use plastic. When our breakfast came my friends Shakshuka eggs came out as poached eggs, when I clearly told her shakshuka eggs are baked. My point is that the lady behind the counter could have corrected me and let us know they would be coming out poached. The benedict was yum, I love the new location. Just disappointed...
Read moreIf you're a bagel aficionado, you simply must make your way to the Bagelicious in Elsternwick. This charming little cafe serves up some of the best bagels I've ever had the pleasure of sinking my teeth into.
First of all, let's talk about the bagels themselves. They're perfectly chewy and satisfyingly dense, with just the right amount of crust on the outside. I tried several different varieties during my visit, from classic plain to savory everything, and each one was a delight.
But it's not just the bagels that make this cafe stand out. The toppings and spreads are equally impressive. The cream cheese is creamy and tangy, with just the right amount of saltiness. The smoked salmon is top-notch, and the avocado and tomato toppings are fresh and flavorful.
The cafe itself is cozy and inviting, with plenty of seating for both solo diners and groups. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable, happy to make recommendations and answer any questions you may have.
All in all, I can't recommend the Bagelicious enough. Whether you're a longtime bagel lover or a curious newbie, this is the spot for you. Trust me, you won't be...
Read moreBeen coming here for months at least once a week. The bagels are good but the service that one individual gives me every time has left a bad taste for me & will not go here anymore because of the service I received this morning. He was very aggressive in his manner & tone when I asked questions about what cream cheese they have. I asked him not to be so aggressive in his manner & change his tone as I'm a customer wanting clarification on what he's saying as he has a foreign accent that's very hard to understand. His response was just simply he needs to hurry up as there are other people waiting to be served. Well I was also standing in that line & I suggest you put on more staff when there's a line on a busy Sat morning not to mention put staff on that know how to provide good customer service because it doesn't matter how good your bagels are, it's the customer service the has the fist and last...
