Baguette Studio is a gem that has stolen my heart since my first visit over a year ago. From the moment I step inside, I'm greeted by a warm, inviting atmosphere and the delightful aroma of freshly baked goods wafting through the air. The staff is always friendly, welcoming me with genuine smiles that make me feel right at home.
Let's talk about the coffeeāit's some of the best I've ever had! My friends can vouch for that, too. They're the only place in the area that knows how to make my coffee just the way I like it. I'm incredibly grateful they accommodate my special requests, even during their busiest hours. Those little touches make each visit so satisfying. Plus, they offer other delicious drink options like the Butterscotch Cream Ice Latte and Cloud Milk Tea.
And then there are the pastries. I've completely rediscovered my love for them here, especially the ham and cheese croissants, which are the best in town. Each pastry is a work of art, beautifully crafted and bursting with flavour. Whether it's a buttery croissant, a scone, a cookie, or a cheesecake, every treat reminds me of why I fell in love with pastries in the first place.
Now, onto the food. Every dish I've tried has been a masterpieceāif I'm being honest, I think I've sampled almost the entire menu! But my absolute favourite has to be Monte Cristo. It's the perfect blend of sweet and savoury, with a crispy exterior and gooey, melty cheese inside. Seriously, every bite is a little slice of heaven! I also love the breakfast plate, Chicken and waffles, French toast, Baguettes, and moreāeach item is delicious, showcasing their passion and dedication to their craft.
I appreciate how they change or add to the menu weekly; it keeps things fresh and exciting! Baguette Studio has become my go-to spot, and I adore bringing my friends and family here to share in the experience. Everyone leaves with a smile and a satisfied palate. It's the place you never tire of visiting, where every moment feels special.
I wholeheartedly recommend Baguette Studio to anyone looking for a cozy spot with fantastic food and a welcoming atmosphere. Trust me, you...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePretty good sandwiches and sweets. Coffee has good flavour and is consistent on each visit. To be honest I wanted to like this more than I did. I went several times chasing that desire for liking it but it never quite happened for me (might for you though?). Don't get me wrong it is worth checking out. Just in my experience my reference point for taste are those specialised bakery stores in France, Vietnam, Japan and Korea where the bite of the bread (or sandwich) is simple perfection. Baguette Studio is getting there, just needs a bit more time. Just to note it is a bit more on the expensive side (quality over quantity). The actual cafe is cool looking (modern and sleek) and more for eating and going (rather than relaxing) due to the layout and furniture choices. Service is fast and friendly and service style seems individually based rather than a specific guiding cafe ethos
12 month update! Back again and... found it a more enjoyable experience. There is more variety (that is neither positive or negative... but may support more people's taste), new staff that are very efficient, and most importantly it was tastier! I had the pretzel sandwich again as a reference. The pretzel baguette is still good (firm with a nice density and flavour) but compared to before it is more flavoursome (added sundried cream cheese I think). Coffee was good, nicely stretched milk and soft chocolate undertones. The sandwiches are still expensive, however with recent prices changes to cafe across Melbourne the value similar to most cafe sandwiches now (so better value proposition).
Service has an intensity that interesting to watch. My only advice, as this is a bakery cafe, would be to just make it a bit more of a...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThe locationās pretty decent ā transport-wise, itās about a 10 to 15-minute ride from the city on Tram 58 or 59. Thereās also street parking out the front, though I think itās paid.
Theyāve got both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor area has gas heaters, which makes it much more comfortable in the colder weather. Indoor seating is a bit limited if youāre dining in. There were quite a few takeaway orders while we were there, especially from nearby hospital staff.
The food is absolutely delicious. I didnāt manage to get any photos, but the pistachio baguette is a must-try ā seriously good! I also really enjoy the fried chicken and bacon waffle. The sauce has a bit of a kick to it, but it adds a great twist of flavour ā I loved it so much Iāve ordered it every time Iāve been (three times now!). It also looks like they change up the menu from time to time, which is a nice touch.
As for pricing, itās a little on the expensive side, but I think itās still reasonable overall. The scrambled eggs seemed a bit pricey ā both my friend and I thought the cost didnāt quite add up, but maybe theyāre using premium cheese or something. Who knows?
All up, itās definitely a place Iād go back to. Even though itās not right in the CBD, Iād happily make the trip again ā all for that amazing...
