The collection also has scores of other items such as diaries, furniture, decorative arts,photos,clothing, correspondence. This museum was opened officially in Dec 1938. This building also has a historical significance that, it was designed by a architect called John Gawler. The building is listed in the register of the National Estate and the Victorian Heritage Register and National Trust of Australia(Victoria).
