I was gonna give this place 4 ⭐️ then something happened in the end which adds that extra amazing 🌟 Food is decent enough. It’s not the best Korean food, it’s not the worst either. For the price you pay it’s definitely worth it. I did feel a bit let down that there was only two flavours for me to choose for fried chicken (not sure if that’s coz set menu) and also the honey soy was a bit too sweet (personal preference). Japche was another let down, it was average at best. But but but but, hear me out, the OG fried chicken is the bomb! Amazing! The Korean hot dog, too good to be true. The kimbap (sushi thingy?) was also good. So food was overall a win. Next time I’m trying Topokki. Staff was friendly, also you don’t need to deal with staff as it’s all automated via QR code. On a bad note, my table was dirty and sticky, just only on my end. Girlfriend side was ok. Now the best part, I went to get takeaway box with my phone out and ready to pay. Guess what, takeaway boxes are free and that gives you an extra ⭐️. Thanks for not being greedy and charging $1 per box to customer who already paid for the food. Also I needed takeaway box coz I liked the food, hehe. Love the vibes liked the food and definitely coming back.

I am not sure if the staff has a personal issue from school or family. But definitely not the right attitude toward customers. I am certainly not expecting big smile or outstanding service from street food style restaurant( even tho it wasn’t cheap) but at least she could call us when food is ready instead of expecting us to read her telepathy. We were ordering six dishes all store in a different containers and we wasn’t sure that we get everything, so we need to get back to the store to check again which contains what food. Food was average, but it doesn’t surprise me why the store is very quite. If the owner checks this review, please consider improving the service quality. Cuz I am pretty sure I am not the only one who has been treated like this and customer like us will never coming back again.

One of my all time favourite Korean street food restaurants. They previously had one in cbd and it used to be our go to place when we have craving for k-street food. This location in north Melbourne seems to be new. What a gem. We ordered couple of teams from the menu. Had the original tokpokki, spam kimbab, corndog and fried chicken and it was absolutely amazing. The service was quick and friendly. The venue is small, limited seating indoor. You can scan QR code and Oder or order at counter if your paying by cash and can get discount as well. Overall, one of the best k-street restaurants in Mel. Would definitely recommend.

Sinjeon is an amazing place for affordable, delicious Korean food! I’ve come here twice recently and both times didn’t disappoint!

Out of all of the dishes I have tried, my favourites are definitely the Cheese Topokki and the Crispy Chicken Japchae!

The Cheese Topokki has a really great taste and the rice cakes have great texture! The cheese is very stretchy and works well with the spiciness of the topokki. The Japchae glass noodles are amazing, and a great option for someone who doesn’t like spice, or a good palate cleanser alongside the spicer menu items.

The Kimbap and corn dogs are also really great! The staff are very kind and the food comes out relatively quickly. This is a great place to go with friends, to share all the dishes together! They also have great lunch and student discounts currently, amazing value for money!

I will definitely come back, and highly...
