I recently dined at Baia Di Vino while some aspects of the experience were enjoyable, overall, it left much to be desired. Food: The starters were the highlight of the meal. The burrata, oysters, and lobster roll were all fantastic and set a high expectation for the rest of the meal. However, the mains were less impressive. The lamb rump was bland, and the flathead, while decent, was nothing special. The pumpkin gratin, though flavorful, was overly salty, making it difficult to finish. The staff had encouraged us to order additional sides, and although we initially thought we hadn’t ordered enough, we ended up struggling to finish our meal; it would have been better without the extra sides. On a sweeter note, the bread and butter pudding was quite good, but the tiramisu was disappointing. Service: The service was inconsistent. The staff member who led us into the restaurant was quite rude, which set a negative tone from the start. Our designated waiter was friendly and attentive, but another waitress was less accommodating, abruptly placing the dessert menu in front of us without asking if we wanted to see it. As a result, we felt obliged to order desserts despite being very full. Atmosphere: Unfortunately, the atmosphere was the biggest letdown. The restaurant was extremely loud and echoey, making it nearly impossible to hear conversations at our table. The noise level was so overwhelming that my head was still ringing long after I got home. In summary, while the restaurant has some strong points, particularly in their starters, the overall experience was marred by inconsistent service, unnecessary upselling of sides, and a highly unpleasant atmosphere.

What a fabulous venue for a surprise 50th birthday lunch treat thanks to a close girlfriend!! As an ex hospitality professional, she knows I love fine dining, amazing food, flavours and combinations and Baia Di Vino delivered on all levels..... The service was spectactular and we had so many laughs, I am so grateful to have friends who know me so well, as she absolutely nailed the lunch choice for a birthday afternoon delight. I will definitely be back! Photos starring: Beef Tartare in a brick pastry topped with horseradish and cornichons, Tuna carpaccio with pickled jalapenos, Beetroot ravioli filled with herbed goats cheese and roasted hazelnuts, Burrata with basil oil and grilled peaches, Lychee gelati on a rose granita with a lime syrup, Caramel chocolate mousse with vanilla toffee macadamia.

To get a good feeling for the food available we tend to get share plates and after seeing what was available at Baia Do Vino we knew not to change our formula. We started with half dozen oysters with a glass of the brut champagne, the perfect beginning. The vingerette that accompanied the oysters was perfect, not too strong as to take away from the fresh oyster flavours. The second course we had the beetroot ravioli and chorizo, a perfect balance of flavours between the two dishes. We finished with a serve of the king prawns and scallops, both had very subtle sauces to add to these perfect dishes. I was glad that I had left the delivery combination of the dishes to the chef as the flavours were perfect. We finished with coffee and the chocolate petit pot, the perfect finish to a good night.

My husband and I had an absolutely flawless dining experience here last night for a special occasion meal. Sharing a detailed review, because a venue this good deserves praise!

Service: The service was so on the ball. Well done to all the wait staff, particularly the guy who was looking after our table - you took such great care of us! Wonderful attention to detail, and we appreciated the pacing of our dishes - other venues often make you feel rushed by bringing out dishes in succession too quickly, or worse still, bringing out all dishes at once - and before you know it, your evening is over and you're being hustled out. Not the case here - pacing of service was perfect, not too slow and not too fast.

Venue: The interior was lovely. Although, the tables feel like they could benefit from a refresh or something - but perhaps this was just because we had two single tables joined together, creating a slight wobble in the middle of our setting? But I am truly nitpicking here! That being said, even though the venue was full for the majority of our sitting, I greatly appreciated that we weren't packed in close to other diners and had ample space to enjoy our meal and conversation - many other venues of this quality will have you elbow-to-elbow with strangers. The ambience of the venue was just right, and the music was not too loud. I'm in my 30s but I live with damaged hearing, meaning music being too loud for me to hear my husband or wait staff is usually a major problem for me when dining out at higher end spots like this, so the lower volume was a very welcome change!

The food: Most importantly... the food was exceptional. We ordered some wine, a range of small plates to share, two mains to share, and two desserts. Phenomenal flavours, textures and presentation all round! We couldn't get over how perfect the steak was, and we also couldn't decide which dishes were our favourite (spoiler: they all were). I'd order every single dish again!

I had a browse through some of the lower star reviews, and it feels like we dined at a totally different restaurant to those reviewers who said they had a poor experience. That being said, it seems the lower reviews all seem to stop a few months back, so perhaps some changes made to how this place is run since then.

This place is a standout dining experience in Bayside. We'll...

A Truly Exceptional Dining ExperienceWe recently had the pleasure of dining at Baia Di Vino and it was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm welcome that set the tone for the evening. The ambience was perfect—charming yet relaxed, with just the right touch of sophistication. The food was absolutely delicious! Every dish was prepared to perfection, with fresh ingredients that burst with flavor. You could tell that each meal was crafted with care and expertise. The tuna carpaccio, beef tartare were beautiful and pasta was perfectly al dente with flavors of the sauces rich and aromatic. The service was impeccable. The staff were not only professional but also genuinely polite and engaging, making us feel like valued guests. They took the time to explain the menu which truly enhanced our dining experience.Overall, this restaurant offers a complete dining experience, with amazing food, wonderful service, and an inviting atmosphere. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-notch...
