Aug 2025 updated price guide: 4 course Sunday Roast $65 April 2025 Just adding some pics from latest visit - roast pork, goats cheese souffle, sticky date pudding with vanilla ice cream. Also wanted to mention that this visit was the first time I had to bring my toddler to join in our long lunch catch up, and the staff were absolutely amazing and friendly towards all of us, including serving a special not on menu ice cream only treat and bringing out colouring books activity. Have already given them 5 stars, but worth noting that they continue to impress us with their excellent chef and hospitality skills

We booked in for a Sunday roast session, and what an absolutely delightful experience! The asparagus entree was well cooked, beef and accompaniments were delicious, and apple tart with vanilla ice cream was superb. Also tried the fish which was fresh and melts in your mouth. Lovely ambiance and friendly staff. Free parking on the weekends closeby and weekdays after 6pm. Price guide $55 for the Sunday set menu (3 course roast + bread), $19 red wine, $10 mocktail (Sep 24). Best to book ahead and mention "Sunday roast" to ensure...
Read moreLittle gem of a place we spotted when we were planning on hitting up another place but decided to try here instead. Small menu that changes frequently, I'm guessing with available fresh produce as we went again about 2 weeks later and some dishes were different. All the dishes I had on both occasions were cooked beautifully but just a bit too salty for my liking. My friend is vegetarian and had different dishes, and she didn't think hers were overly salty when eaten as a whole, though individual elements might've been. The drinks were a bit hit and miss, although all were visually appealing. My favourite would be the "house sour" which is not on the menu, but was offered as alternative to the Amaretto Sour I asked for (but they didn't do). From memory it contained some kind of apple and chestnut liqueur and it was delicious. Also tried the Ipanema cocktail, which was fruity but a bit too boozy for me, and a Fizzarro, which I was not a fan of as it tasted too bitter (maybe from grapefruit?). Service was friendly and efficient, and they take bookings. I do wish they'd add a chocolate dessert to the menu in...

We had a really disappointing experience Bar Thyme. We had a booking for 8PM, but before we even received our food, we were told the kitchen was closing at 8:30 and that we needed to place our last orders. We hadn’t even had a chance to try the appetisers yet, so we felt rushed and unsure of what to order. The appetisers we did try were just okay - not wow, just as mentioned in other reviews. After waiting 30 minutes for our mains, we were then told that they had forgotten to put our order through. By this point, it was 9:15, and the kitchen was already closed. The staff apologised, but it didn’t feel genuine - plus, they started avoiding eye contact after. In the end, we had to leave and find another place for dinner. Extremely poor service and a complete waste...
