We were shown to our table. We were seated but because it being our first time we were expecting to be shown how or where to start but it took a while for them to understand why we hadn't started yet. Luckily I went up to them and ask them if they can teach us on how to start eating. Food was lovely and fresh. All the meat was labelled. All the ready to eat food was labelled and there's a fruit and veggie bar. Start by getting your meat first. You decide what meat you want at the fresh meat section then they'll bring it over to your table and give you a quick cook off and start you off then make your way to the veggie and ready to eat section to get things to eat with your meat. They will also change your grill plate when it gets dirty so that your meat will cook fast all the time. Don't over crowd your grill plate or else it will cool down. Just put enough meat on. Helpful tip cook your meat that isn't marinated first because if you cook your marinated meats first the sugars in the marinade will burn before your non-marinated meat is cooked. Also cut your meat into bite size pieces (once seared on both sides) with the scissors that they give you so it cooks faster. Overall I'm satisfied with...
Read moreCame here with high expectations after seeing all the great reviews, but honestly, the experience was quite disappointing.
The food quality did not live up to the hype. The marinated beef was overwhelmingly sweet, masking any natural flavor of the meat. The spicy chicken had an oddly soft, mushy texture — likely due to excessive tenderizer or over-marinating, which broke down the protein too much. The prawns were clearly not fresh and had a noticeable off-smell. Even the watermelon in the fruit section wasn’t fresh — it was mushy and lacked juiciness, tasting like it had been sitting out for too long. This is not only unpleasant but also concerning, as pre-cut watermelon stored improperly can become a breeding ground for Listeria, posing a real food safety risk.
What was most baffling was that the bottle labeled “soy sauce” actually contained something that tasted more like a sweet and sour sauce — completely misleading.
Service was friendly and attentive, but unfortunately, that couldn’t make up for the subpar food. For a highly-rated buffet, the overall quality just wasn’t acceptable. Also worth noting: meat portions were served by staff instead of self-service, which made the experience feel awkward and restricted.
Honestly, I would’ve rather driven into the city for something better....

My first visit to BBQ Werribee Buffet was an absolute delight! Meeting up with friends, we were thrilled with the diverse selection of meats, veggies, and desserts, all in the tantalising Korean BBQ style.
At $65 per person for full buffet access over two hours, it was a great value. The setup, with individual hot plates at each table, allowed us to cook at our own pace, ensuring a personalised dining experience. We got a booth at the back.
The cleanliness of tables and cutlery was commendable, though the packed Saturday night crowd did make the atmosphere a tad noisy due to the acoustics. However, the attentive and polite service more than made up for it.
I appreciated the constant attention from staff, ensuring our hot plates remained clean throughout the meal. The vibe was vibrant, and ample parking made the experience hassle-free. Booking ahead is wise, given its popularity.
Overall, BBQ Werribee Buffet exceeded expectations, and I can't wait to return for another memorable feast. Yum! Honestly I would go again, I think meat eaters would appreciate. Some...
