Went to go get our local fish and chips at fish and chips on civic. As that has been the best!!! Fish and chips we have ever tried here in aus. But today being a public holiday it was closed! So we went driving around for about 35 mins. And some how come across blackshaws fish and chips!!!! Well thank you lord we now have 2 amazing fish and chip shops to battle it out . Ordered a Lunch pack which included a piece of flake, chips, dim sim and a potato cake. Ordered around 6:30ish was moderately busy. Staff were nice and kind so the service was good. I got my flake grilled not battered and for an extra 70c it was so worth it. The flake was delicious and fell apart in my mouth 9/10. Couldn’t decide what I wanted for dinner and drove past this shop, ended up being the best fish and chips I’ve had in years! Chips were crunchy and salty, fish was cooked to perfection, lightly battered and crispy, fish burger was absolutely delicious with the perfect amount of sauce and a simple cheeseburger that was extremely tasty like how you used to have as a child!
