My wife and I decided to try Bobby dres in Werribee for the bottomless brunch on Saturday 12/6, on arrival there was 5-10 people in the restaurant. We arrived at 2:51 for our 3pm booking. The person behind the counter couldnāt find our booking but seated us anyways which is fine, we waited until after 10 minutes I got up and asked if we had to order drinks at the counter or if it was table service ? The person behind the counter told us to just flag her down when we needed more drinks as it was the selling point of being a bottomless brunch. After a further 10 minutes from when I ordered our drinks (a margarita and a corona) the server came and asked us again what drinks we were after, I confirmed the drinks order. 30 minutes after being seated out first drink in a 90 minute package arrived with a bowl of Luke warm bland nachos. After one bite I went to the counter and told the server we were not going to continue with the bottomless brunch, I was not willing to pay $110 for us both if this was the level of service and food quality we were to continue to receive. I said to the server I was happy to pay for what we had eaten/drank and then wait for a email or contact from the manager. Knowing I had paid a $30 deposit I asked if I could just pay the difference, she then couldnāt find the deposit we had paid. To avoid further frustration I said I would just pay the total and await a call/email from the management. Itās been 24 hours and I have not received an email or call I reached out via email and fb messenger as we have paid $68 for sub par food and service, no reply from the management or anyone. Not impressed at all I wouldnāt go back, donāt waste your time food is bland and boring, service is lack lustre and lazy and the atmosphere is horrible from the distorted kitchen speaker blaring to the humming of the exhaust in the roof. Really disappointing donāt waste your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe went to Bobby Dre's with high expectations as there wasn't many Mexican restaurants around Werribee but we left with such disappointment.
We arrived at 7:30pm and placed our order for drinks at 7:45pm. We ordered a Mojito, Margherita and Sangria which were very lackluster. The Margherita lacked the citrus flavour and was too sweet.
After ordering our drinks, we placed our order for our mains at 8:00pm. I understand the situation of being understaffed during the pandemic but the service was abysmal. Our wait staff lacked understanding of their own menu. For our order, we ordered the loaded fries and the chicken as a starter and a chicken burger, 1 serving of each of the 5 tacos, a burrito and a quesadilla for the main.
After waiting 20 minutes, the fries came out and so did the chicken and the chicken burger. We had to wait an additional 20 minutes for the burrito and quesadilla to come out but we were still missing our tacos. Finally, at 9pm, after waiting another 30 minutes, the first set of tacos came out and the remaining sets came out in 5 minute intervals. It was very odd that one of the easiest dishes to make took an hour to come out.
Finally to end the night, the LED lights at the front of the store malfunctioned and caused the restaurant to smoke up and smell like plastic.
This was one of the worst experiences I have had dining at a local restaurant. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Even the poor people ordering takeaway had to wait more than 40 minutes for...
