I recently visited the Commercial Hotel in Werribee, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! Located conveniently at 111 Watton Street, this pub strikes the perfect balance between a welcoming local vibe and a polished dining atmosphere. The interior is cozy yet stylish, with great furniture and fittings that create a warm, relaxed setting—perfect for a casual meal or a night out with friends. The food was a standout. I opted for the chicken parmigiana, and it was cooked to perfection, with a generous portion that didn’t skimp on flavor. The veggies were fresh and well-prepared, and the menu had something for everyone, from Grazier steaks to hearty pub classics. Even the seniors’ meals were impressively substantial, as noted by others in my group. The prices were reasonable, with dishes like the parma around $25, offering great value for the quality. Service was another highlight. The staff were friendly, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome—shoutout to the team for their outstanding hospitality! The atmosphere was lively but never overwhelming, with the added bonus of a sports bar, TAB facilities, and free Wi-Fi for those looking to catch a game or unwind. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Werribee, the Commercial Hotel is a gem. Great food, top-notch service, and a vibrant yet comfortable setting make it a spot I’ll definitely return to. Highly recommend making a reservation and checking it out...
Read moreA good amount of pokies inside. Meals are quiet expected for what taverns/Pubs sell. Nice and clean
EDITED- I experienced a unpleasant moment there. I had checked-in this venue and yes even showed my vaccination. Upon being there I had a cash out ticket on me and needed to get something from my car. I walked passed the lady behind the bar as well as the lady who was making sure people were checking in. I didn't feel the need to ask them if I leave would it be a problem coming back in as I was only going to my car Which was parked out the front door. I was all but 5mins when I walked back in all for the lady to say I had to check in Again and show my vaccination certificate I told her I already did I just went to my car and even showed my cash out ticket which has the date and time. She treated me poorly and said that could be from another night. So I re checked-in and showed her my vaccination certificate and again it wasn't Good enough because it's not linked to the service Victoria app. Although I had the covid digital app which had the green ticks. To treat someone so rudely with no apology isn't best service. She did not once Believe anything I said Unless she was okay with it. Maybe staff need to be trained on this so another person doesn't have to...
Read moreWe have previously had great meals here but not last night. Garlic cheese bread was great but mozzarella sticks were a very small serve for around $20, they were tiny and dried out and some were empty of cheese. We asked for side plates and were given saucers from coffee/tea cups by the manager. I had mains of fish and chips, the fish was two identical pieces that are just like a serve from the freezer isle of the supermarket. It was dry and tasteless. My daughter had the cheeseburger which was a meat patty in a bun that was half the size of the patty. All meals accompanied by pale and tasteless chips. I spoke to the waitress after the meal to express our feelings. She spoke to the manager and it took 20 mins to get his attention despite no other customers in the restaurant. He offered me a soft drink in compensation which I declined. He explained that he couldn’t do much as we ate too much of the meals without complaining first. I explained that the kids were hungry and we tried to make the best of things. My meal was still on the table with less than half the meal eaten. We spent over $200 for our meal and feel so...
