Today was my 2nd visit at Brimbank Bakehouse (definitely won't be my last), my first visit would have been within the last 12 months; on my first visit i got some of their fried dim sims, usually displayed at the front counter, it was okay, a little greasy but nothing worth noting.. This morning before going to work, I decided to give this local bakery another try.. I was only initially going to get a take away coffee, after looking at their crispy pork on the display window i just couldn't help but be tempted to get a 'crispy pork roll'... Disclaimer: I actually eat a lot of crispy pork rolls :P so i'm a little tough with my critiques, a roast pork roll has to tick off a lot of boxes to be given an online review :) so if you're reading this take my word for it this pork roll ain't like other pork roll you've had before, it's much better!
Imagine waking up in the morning and your stomach is feeling kinda empty and you're after something semi warm, tasty, filling, hearty, delicious in every bite, kind of like your grandma's sunday roast.. that crispy pork skin with the lightly marinated tender pork meat just mouth watering and jaw dropping... mmmm.. well, look no further because if i was to give 3 words to describe this "Pork Roll" it would be: WOW, WOW & WOW!
This pork roll is exactly as described... the crispy skin was there, the pork was delicious and the amount of salads jammed packed into their fresh bread roll.. I felt like I was eating a 'western style crispy roast pork' in a vietnamese roll... (you definitely don't get that at most vietnamese bakerys)
If you're around the area, definitely give the "crispy roast pork" roll a try! Keep in mind that i was there at about 7:45am :D so everything must have been 'fresh off the boat' lol :D Keep up the great work guys!
My original post (7months prior) was a genuine 5/5 unfortunately after a revisit not so long ago their roll was about standard.. not the same as it once was. Perhaps there has been a change of management as the lady and her daughter which usually serves there are no longer there. Shame.. review has now...
Read moreMost appalling customer service! The girl with the thick eyelashes, who seems to be in charge, was unbelievably rude—not just to us as customers, but to her own staff. The way she spoke to people was aggressive and completely out of line.
I don’t know how someone like that ends up working here, the behaviour is atrocious and unacceptable, it is an embarrassment to the business.
I have no problems with the other staff members but honestly, the toxic atmosphere ruins the whole experience. I feel bad for anyone in her presence especially the staff members subject to her disgusting attitude. I won’t be coming back until she is gone or something seriously changes. No one deserves to be...
Read moreI encountered the most terrible service at Brimbank bakehouse this Easter Monday morning, I asked a simple question of what sort of meat they had in the ban Marie and had eyes rolled at me and the dirtiest look ever , then she asked that I pay first wow , I have never met a ruder person then this lady serving behind the counter , The grilled pork & chicken rolls were awful as her. Bits of bone through the chicken roll. Please don't waste your money at this place.
Thumbs up to the other older lady that came out from the back and gave us a smile & to the new lady that was making the...
