Bubba Pizza Elwood — Restaurant in Melbourne

We usually love this place, but after tonight we are never returning and will never recommend to anyone again. My partner ordered a vegetarian pizza, it came with bacon on it, he called the restaurant to ask if it could be replaced and as soon as my partner asked if they could deliver it because it was their FAULT, the manager on the phone started abusing my partner accusing my partner of swearing, even after the guy on the phone went off on him, my partner still didn’t say one swear word. When he went down there to sort it out with the manager, he was hiding out the back and wouldn’t talk to my partner.

We both come from hospitality backgrounds, the last thing my partner would do was abuse the staff for a simple mistake, because we’ve been on the receiving end of abuse like that, but bubba pizza has no respect for their customers and zero customer service skills, not sure how many times my partner reassured you that he wasn’t swearing, you just couldn’t come down off your high horse and fix the mistake you made. Disappointing to say the least.

Just another pizza place. Had some high expectations after reading the reviews, but it certainly didn't live up to the hype in my opinion. The pizza was ok, certainly not the best in the area but not the worst either. The $5 extra for the corners filled with chips was a little underwhelming. The pizza itself wasn't exactly spicy, I ordered the Mexican with extra chilli flakes. It was almost like they heard no chilli. As far as spice level goes it was a 2 out of 10. The best thing about this place was the value for money, a basic pizza, garlic bread and soft drink is $20. In this climate that is reap value. The garlic bread has some decent buttery garlic flavour to accompany the pizza. Gave this place another shot and the standard hasn't changed. It is just another pizza place.
