Cafe bien — Restaurant in Melbourne

I’ve been a loyal customer since this café opened, buying coffee for myself and my coworkers almost every workday. I pay by phone and sometimes had a few loyalty cards at once—completely normal. This week, after redeeming some full cards, the owner Simon accused me of printing fake cards to steal free coffees. The accusation was baseless and insulting. When I went back to explain and thank him anyway, he doubled down and said I was no longer welcome. Good coffee can’t make up for being treated like a thief. I work in the area, and my colleagues and I always come here for a delicious coffee. There’s a gentleman named Simon (I don’t know if he’s the owner or not—I’m just assuming, as he’s always there working away with a smile on his face).

His coffees are absolutely outstanding, and he uses the most delicious coconut milk—perfectly balanced every single time. I’ve never had a bad coffee or meal here, and honestly, I’d say this is the best coffee I’ve had in Melbourne.

On top of that, Simon is always so kind, welcoming, and genuinely pleasant whenever we visit.

Loose leaf chai and proper hot chocolate (not too sweet) were so impressive. My friend loved the matcha as it is hard to find a right place for a good matcha.

I just loved the vibe when I walked in, the greeneries at the back with lowfi music❤️

There are so many free parking on Bank Street (can be busy) or you can just park at Salvation Army building which is just $1 per hour. So convenient👍👍 The carpark is 17 Bank Street, Box Hill 3128
