A very disappointing experience overall. Will not be returning again, there are far better options available. I expected far more given the online reviews of this restaurant.
Booked in advanced and after being seated told the restaurant was accepting "cash only" as the banking terminal was not working. Had to walk and find an ATM - most inconvenient.
Ordered fried dumplings and Singapore Noodles.
The dumplings came out less than a minute after ordering, while I was walking to the ATM - that is just poor service. The dumplings did not appear to be freshly fried - impossible given they came out in less than a minutes. Enquired with the staff and told they had made too many from a previous order..... not sure what to believe. Think maybe they had been stored under a warmer. Ate two and found to be very poor quality. The Singapore Noodles were just average - nothing special at all.
The restaurant didn't charge for the dumplings in the final bill. After leaving went elsewhere for more food. Overall, far better restaurants for dumplings, especially in the city, at better value too. This restaurant wasn't busy, that says a...
Read moreMy family and I came in at around 10pm last night, we ordered the “Special Fried rice”, Lemon chicken & pork dumplings. To start, I was shocked when I realised there was SPAM In the fried rice instead of actual cooked meat. Canned meat??. Disgusting. The lemon Chicken was oily and on top of that it was not fully cooked, slightly pink. Now thinking back on it. the dumplings were mushy and to top them off there was a fly in the soy sauce that they served in a tea pot. I don’t know how this place is still open. Immediately after my family and I felt sick. We paid and left but couldn’t shake the feeling off that the food was making us sick. when we got home, all of us had food poising and threw up. Would not recommend eating here under any circumstance. I still feel sick, and when I come back Tomorrow I expect a full refund for...
Read moreI've been going to D & Camy's Dumpling restaurant for a few years, every so often type occasion. Today I came at 4pm, the best time to come cos it's totally quiet 😁. Othertimes I've come from 6pm, and it gets packed pretty quickly. I ordered a Pork and Prawn wonton soup ($8.50) and Steamed pork buns (3 for $4). The wontons were delicious, the soup itself probably had MSG in it 🤔, which I think is lame when asian restaurants do that, as it means they don't have to spend hours making a good soup broth from scratch, but instead create a quick, sort of tasty version of a thin soup 😡. The Steamed buns were ok, the pork was not very tasty kind of boiled pork. I do prefer BBQ pork buns.
The service was prompt, fairly friendly, cheap and overall a pretty good...
