Cafe Godot — Restaurant in Melbourne

This local coffee shop opened in my neighborhood, I watched it developed from 1 person (boss himself) to three more staff. The baristas and the girl have always been friendly and nice. Though I didn’t have a good experience with the boss, he made me feel I’m not welcomed because I tried to buy their coffee beans. As I really liked the coffee which made me want to buy the beans, after confirmed by their barista that they also sell 250g of beans the day before and asked me to come back for the fresh roasted beans. That’s why I went there today again to buy the beans and the boss said No in a not so nice way. I don’t want to make a big deal about it, there are so many other cafes sell the coffee beans. It’s just this is my local store, I thought I just support their business and also they don’t open on the weekends, so I can make coffee at home for me and my neighbors by using their beans on the weekends. Everything else was good, just I don’t like the way I was treated by the boss. Also, my morning time was wasted. Hence, a three star;...

Used to serve great coffee… my last 2 experiences were lukewarm milk with a slight stain of coffee. If you’re gonna charge top dollar for a barista made coffee, at least have a go and get the milk to the correct temp, textured somewhat properly and put some damn coffee in the cup....

If you're a fan of industrial chic designs, a very Melbourne cafe vibe, some tasty coffee and flavorful food to boot? Then Godot really hits the ticket.
