Buxton Contemporary — Attraction in Melbourne

Loved my visit. Beautifully presented gallery and spacious gallery spaces. Perfect location, around the corner from the National Gallery of Victoria, Arts Centre Melbourne and next to southbank theatre. Right in the Arts Precinct, cafes and Gardens. Being there to critique an exhibition I had questions. The staff were very helpful and happy to answer any questions making you feel welcome. Well set up and present exhibition. A beautiful contemporary art space Next to the national gallery of Victoria. This place is even free to attend! I've only found out because of the open house Melbourne. Staff here, including Anthea, Maddie and Harriet are all highly passionate and helpful. They have an exhibition change every 3 months once so with checking it out whenever people are coming to visit as well as for your own exploration. Love to see the re-use of the old buildings, ensuring our local history will remain looked after for future generations. Got to view the exhibition, some interesting installations around music as a language. Some of the artworks were a bit lost on me, I only got an enter score of 70 at high school, and I don't wear square glasses - but I was able to enjoy it on my own level...
