Very disappointing first and last visit to this cafe. Waited 10 minutes to be served. Placed our order and was then told 10 minutes later that it would be another 20-25 minutes wait. Seriously. So we cancelled our order and selected pre filled croissants. They arrived about 8 minutes later. Both burnt on the bottom. The cafe was busy and only one staff member on the floor who was nearly running to try to keep up with orders and service. 3 staff behind the counter yet they couldn’t make a simple salad. I went to go to the toilet … followed the sign down an unlit dark dank passage way and guessed I had to open the door at the end. It led outside to yet another space … no thanks. I chose to hold on !!’

I haven’t been for food to Uffizi in many years. I was meeting someone for brunch and the place we were intending to go to was closed. Uffizi turned out to be a superb backup plan. Their prices haven’t risen as badly as everyone else and their food was beautifully presented and delicious to match. We sat outside in the fresh air watching the beautiful people visit the park. The only disruption to our perfect meal and meeting was the noisy trams every few minutes. I ordered smashed avocado with bacon.

I had an Almond Latte and Almond Croissant. The latte was average and I have had much better ones. The barista recommended the almond croissant and I asked to get it toasted. It was not up to the mark. I wish she hadn't recommended it. The place needs serious revamp. The spot is very convienient as it is right next to the tram stop. The outdoor seating is lovely as well. There are hundreds of other cafes to choose from and I wish they will up their game soon.

Horrible service and extremely nasty owner. Ordered 2 coffees from here - one with skim milk, one with soy milk. As somebody with a dairy allergy (and who has had their order taken wrong from Uffizi on numerous occasions) I was very careful/clear when stating my order, which was taken from the older guy who I assume is the manager/owner. When my name was called, I noticed the cups each had “skim” written on them. I double-checked and the barista confirmed they were both made with skim milk. This wasn’t really a big deal to me, I completely understand mistakes happen and it’s an easy fix, so I simply let them know I had actually ordered one with soy. Rather than apologising, the manager gave me death stare, rolled his eyes and demanded I owed them extra money for the soy milk. Again, the money wasn’t an issue at all, I was more than happy to pay the difference if the manager had accidentally taken the order wrong and charged me less for one of the coffees. However, after paying, the manager then proceeded to scoff at me and say disgusting, mean things about me to the barista (right in front of me too), in addition to claiming it was my fault. I was SO careful when ordering, so I know it wasn’t my fault - but even if it had been, it does not make it okay to treat ANYBODY like that, especially over something as insignificant as a coffee. I left feeling incredibly defeated and upset (especially after being a regular here for the past year - definitely...

I can not sing praises high enough for this funky little corner coffee shop in Caulfield North. Upon arriving the waitress was lightning fast at seating us and taking our order on her way back in from taking another's. She was also clued in enough to know the wait for the coffee might be a little longer so she brought us each a glass of water.

Honestly, the coffee was one of the best we'ed had in a while. Temperature was just right, and blended beautifully. Not a hint of bitterness and smooth all the way to the bottom of the glass.

We never felt as though they wanted us to vacate our seats even though they were clearly at capacity. When it came time to head in to pay, each member of staff that served our table had genuine smiles from ear-to-ear and a nothing be happiness in their voice. The barista was calmly going about his job but still able to have a quick laugh with anyone who addressed him and the lady at the register was the brightest of them all. I even had one of the waiters open and hold the door open for me on the way out.

All-in-all ,it was not just the coffee but the staff working today that is the real reason that I would not hesitate in pointing people to Uffizi and would definitely be back to try more...

When I lived in Caulfield (2010-2013), this place was a favorite for me and my family. We ordered coffee and fresh muffins every weekday morning. It used to be a lovely family-owned cafe with delicious produce and fresh meals made daily. Incredible smells wafted from the kitchen every time we went in!

It seems the place has changed ownership and doesn't have the same warm atmosphere or personal touch that it used to...

The sweets are made off-site and ordered in - you can tell as they're the same as the ones used in many small cafes who order through the one supplier.

At my last visit, I ordered an over-priced berry smoothie for take-away. Sadly, it was thin, watery, bland, and carelessly garnished with excessive seeds that served no purpose other than a failed attempt to make the beverage look expensive. Adding insult to injury, it was garnished with a frozen strawberry. Yes, frozen. Not a fresh berry in sight!

My family members went to order their "usual" but sadly, none of those items were present on the menu or in the display case.

Hugely...
