Carson — Restaurant in Melbourne

A friend and I thought we would try Carson's for breakfast a few weeks back. When we walked in the staff were welcoming and sat us down promptly. The service is slow, took a while for them to take our coffee and food order. Place was not that busy at the time that we went maybe 10-12 people. The waitress put glasses for water on our table, but provided us with no water. We had to prompt them to bring the bottle over. My friend poured some water in the glass and started drinking to only notice floaties in it. We flagged it with the waitress who brought us another one, but didn't really acknowledge it.

We both had ordered a cold brew and after waiting so long they came back 10mins later to inform us there was no cold brew left. Got a long black instead and their pulled pork eggs benedict which was nice. Can't complain about the portions it was good.

However I'm not sure I would come back here, it wasn't bad, it wasn't great, it was just slightly better than okay. In an area where there are a lot of great cafes around, this one didn't...

I can’t say enough great things about this cafe . As a local I’ve seen it pass the last few owners and the current owner had done such an amazing job refurbishing the place and creating an amazing menu to suit also

I’m here at least once or twice a week and I’ve never had a bad coffee or bad breakfast The chilli scramble is literally the best breakfast I’ve ever had in my life and it’s yet to be beaten by any other cafe

Myself , my partner and my friends all love coming here for brunch as the food isn’t only beautifully presented it’s bursting with flavour The coffee is always perfect The staff always friendly and the owner always goes above to make you feel comfortable

As a local business owner it’s a real asset to Pascoe vale and in my opinion surpasses many of the cafes that have been here for many years prior.

They say to avoid places that are almost empty, but we thought to give Carson Cafe a go. There was another table with people that appeared to be leaving. Unfortunately, once we sat down, we were kind of forgotten by the 3 people serving in the cafe. They seemed to all know the family that were leaving and kind of forgot all about us. We were just about to leave when we were asked if someone had taken our order. Obviously not as we still had menus on our table. The apologies were then coming thick and fast.
