For those who come cross this review please read thoroughly before you attempt to visit this place.
I wouldn’t believe what I physically witnessed from this afternoon visit was absolutely disgusting behaviour from the staff working here. There were 3 of them (2 young females both wear glasses and 1 young male).
Female staff’s attitude was absolutely disgraceful, disrespectful and arrogant to those 2 male customers sitting on right bench in photo attached below.
They were basically asking the staff why they didn’t close the door while the AC was running given that it was extremely hot day with temperature 35 Celsius degrees outside (Saturday Feb 22, 2025). The female staff was standing behind counter and responding back to those 2 male customers by raising her high pitch “Go buying a new house so you can have cool air, stop complaining (Vietnamese)”. Apparently those other 2 were also mumbling about these 2 men in the background
I was totally shocked when heard these words coming out of her mouth. These young kids need to be more properly trained to be able to fit in hospitality pace as if they still want to survive in this welcoming country Australia.
There was also another time I caught them playing cards during their shifts. Apparently they’re on hourly wages which they seem to neglect their jobs.
And to the owner guy of this place as well, educate your staff to fit in this working pace or else your business would be gradually going downhill and having bad name for disrespectful behaviour to...
Read moreInternal layout is pretty poor with too many tables it's hard to move around in the shop, so not so friendly for those with prams and traditional market trolleys. Add to the people waiting for their food and the place gets pretty packed quickly.
Only one menu in the wall right at the point you need to order so it's quite hard to decide and the queue is held up.
Add to the excessively loud speaker and it's hard to order (they got our order wrong) and just as hard to hear them call out your number when your order is ready.
Combine the loud music with the smell of fresh paint and you have all the ingredients for a nice headache.
However the pain is eased with the desert actually being not too bad, and despite the long wait. Hopefully they learn from the soft opening and...
Read moreOverall, I really like it. I've been here twice and even though by Vietnamese parents standards, this is too pricey for che, their che is unique to Australia and reminds me of what you get back in Vietnam. It's like we're finally getting trendy Vietnamese desserts to compete with the ridiculous number of bubble tea shops opened in Springvale.
I've tried all their flavors and would say my favorite is the thap cam or durian one (yes I love durian, good thing HS cakes us just a few stores down as well). For a bit of everything, I would recommend the mini che set for a good tasting of the different varieties. I've ordered big and small and will come back when the craving hits.
They have seats inside as well for you to chill out...
