Picked up cold wet undercooked soggy pizzas (x4) three we tried to eat. One went straight in the bin.

The photos show how wet and soggy it was. Look at the box and underside of the pizza! You can see the moisture!

Called to complain and was offered a full refund which I accepted. They admitted it was their mistake right away. Great!

Two hours later the manager called saying they wanted to see the pizzas in a very rude and demanding way. To the point they said they would come to me house to get them!! Bizarre.

They then went on to say they would not honour the full refund but only $22 for the one that went straight in the bin. So I paid $75 for partially eaten cold wet pizza. I got a $22 refund.

I am a regular customer who has eaten here many times and have actively recommend this pizza shop to friends. Not anymore.

This was the text I received after the phone call.

Hi Matthew, I am very sorry and sad that you haven't been happy with our pizzas tonight! We refunded you the one that you didn't eat but for others three that you ate we can't refund but still we are happy to make any three next time if you like. Kind regards Clay...

I was recommended Clay Oven by a friend so as a huge pizza fan and new to the area I thought I'd try it. After waiting over an hour for the delivery, extreme disappointment is a complete and utter understatement! This was truly the worst pizza I've ever had. Rating it even one star is being generous. The base of the pizza was absolutely soaking, so wet that the whole slice would just fall part in your hand. I opted for the panchetta where unfortunately the meat was just pure pieces/clumps of fat. Crusts were burnt leaving a horrible taste in the mouth. As a first time customer I might have just been unlucky, however I will not...

Loved this restaurant. The service is warm and efficient and we loved the friendly banter between all the customers.

Plenty of street parking and open late.

Our plane from Sydney was delayed and luckily clay oven pizza are open late. We had been fed on the plane so decided on the mushroom entree (super cheesy and moreish), the cabrese salad (really fresh cheese) and the pasta pizza - talegio is one of my favourite cheeses and they pair it with pickled onions and the flavour is divine.

The Chianti and Pinot Grigio were both top picks for our meal or just quaffing without food.

Highly recommend the...

Amazing pizza and even more amazing people. Love this little pizzeria. I work in the area but never really get an opportunity to order from them because of a schedule conflict. I've managed to eat here twice but it would be almost weekly if possible. They have great Neopolitan style pizza and quality ingredients. The sauce is simple but perfect. The dough is spot on and probably in the 65% hydration range. Once baked, the crust has the perfect burnt leopard spots as one would expect from this style of pizza. 100% recommended. I'll be back when possible.
