1565 Gelateria & Cafe — Restaurant in Melbourne

Was walking in the area and decided to stop by and see what was happening inside. Was surprised how big the shop was once you go inside. I've only been here once so I can't say much about the products but everything looks like quality upon initial "assessment". Reading these reviews, I wish I did try the Gelato but I did not unfortunately.

But I was very happy with my mocha. So many places get it wrong when it comes to mochas but this was a bloody nice mocha. Not too sweet yet rich. I wish I asked for it extra hot (that's how I usually order but forgot to request that because I was so distracted by the Gelato and desserts on offer). I also wish I tried the various pastries which looked very good.i did not but I did try the cinnamon doughnuts. They tasted damn good but I will say they were not fresh. Would have been great if they were fresh but all good, still tasted great compared to many places.

Will definitely be back for more and hoping for a more fresh batch of doughnuts. Still...

Amazing cozy spot, in other words, I could not possibly express how awesome this cafe is, the staff, the coffee, chai latte, and all the cakes and ice creams I’ve tried so far.. so fabulous I couldn’t possibly express how much I love this place in words

The staff and manager take the experience to a whole new level, offering you an awesome service with the warmest and friendliest attitude, they’re patient and truly want you to have a great experience

The vibe of the cafe is uniquely cozy and you really feel at home. As though you wanna stay for hours and just chat to the staff, as you’re drinking your coffee slowly.

They have a wide variety of cakes (even gluten free and eggless!), tiramisu, cheesecakes, ice creams and gelato, coffees, sandwiches, wraps etc to fit all kinds of dietary needs

The area is slightly busy, but we were able to find parking nearby every time, great spot at the corner

This café never fails to impress! Their caramel latte is absolutely amazing — smooth, perfectly sweet, and my favorite order every time I visit. I’ve also tried their milkshakes and desserts, and I especially loved the Black Forest cake and the baklava.

The staff here are lovely, and the lady who served us was especially kind and welcoming. She even remembered us on our second visit, played a Demon Hunter song for the kids, and had a sweet little chat with them — such a thoughtful touch that made the experience even more special.

The café itself is beautiful, with both indoor and outdoor seating as well as a cozy courtyard at the back. During spring, the trees outside bloom beautifully, creating the perfect backdrop for a relaxing coffee break. Whether you need a quick caffeine boost or just a place to unwind and enjoy the lively suburb, this café is the perfect spot — because, truly, life without espresso...
