Was pretty disappointed as a coeliac there is basically nothing other than chicken they said was coeliac safe - as in, just chicken on a plate. I told them ALL chicken was coeliac safe so thatâs nothing special. I asked if they at least had gluten free wraps, so I could get a kebab - no, of course they donât have any gluten free wraps or bread. I asked if they have a deep-fried chicken gluten free option. Nope - of course they donât offer a GF option for fried chicken⊠They said I could have grilled chicken and lettuce on a plate and that is their gluten free option. I asked why they advertise on the sign outside that they are a gluten free shop if practically nothing they offer on their massive menu is gluten free and basically just got a blank stare back - so I walked out. What a waste of a trip!!
Edit: Definitely the right place. Everything youâve mentioned is Gluten Free anyway. Chicken and chips are gluten free naturally. Where is your deep fried chicken with a gluten free batter? Where is your gluten free gravy? Where is the gluten free chicken Parma? Where is your gluten free burger bread? Where is your gluten free wraps? Where is your gluten free pasta? Those things are not hard to make or buy in and would actually set you apart as a gluten free destination, rather than advertising roast chicken and chips as gluten free like its...
Read moreWe have used this take away venue twice when returning from the football. While the chickens we bought were well cooked, not overly dry and very tasty, the staff (on both) evenings cut the chickens into quarters rather than eighths as requested. This meant we needed to cut them up further to feed our smaller children. A minor convenience but one which frustrates as both times, especially the second time, we were clear about this. The 'family value pack' @ $58 is obscenely overpriced considering the large chips which comes with the pack is the equivalent of around $3 chips from a Fish and Chip shop. When I enquired as to the price of a simple burger: bun, meat pattie, tomato sauce and lettuce, I needed to explain this order more than four times to the lady serving us. I was then charged the full price listed on their board for a 'burger with lot and a drink" at a cost of $13.50!! When I asked why this was the cost I wasn't even given a response. Now for the salads......We were sold a 'large' potato salad in the smallest, in terms of height, rectangular take away container possible. This was $10.00!! Now, I'm all for local small business making a good living but these prices are crazy. .We will not...
Read moreIâve driven past here several times and always wanted to try it out, so I stopped in, looked at the board, 1350 for a grilled chicken souvlaki. The picture shows a nice souvlaki with a couple of grilled tenderloins of fresh chicken.
So upon paying, I saw the lady pull out some already cooked, shredded chicken from probably Yesterdays roast chickens. I asked her arenât you cooking the chicken fresh and she said it was roasted fresh. I pointed out how this differs from the picture she said donât worry youâll like it.
I can only took her a couple minutes, because obviously the chicken was already cooked she chucked a bit of seasoning on and heated it on the grill plate, rolled up the souvlaki and gave it to me.
I will admit itâs a fairly chunky roll, although canât taste the garlic in the garlic sauce and the chicken is literally yesterdays roast chicken it had a strange bbq sauce taste and a piece of cartilage quite disappointed
I was after a nice chicken kebab or souvlaki, I was gonna go around the corner and grab one but decided to give this place a go I wonât make the same mistake twice
Very disappointing I couldâve made this at home by buying a roast...
