Souvlaki GR Cranbourne — Restaurant in Melbourne

My family and I recently decided to visit this charming little Souvlaki place for a quick and affordable lunch. I must say, for the price we paid, we were treated to an enjoyable and satisfying meal.

The standout feature was definitely the warm and fresh bread that enveloped our Souvlaki. Soft and fluffy, it served as the perfect vehicle for the tender and juicy meat inside. The white sauce added a delightful creaminess to the dish, enhancing the overall flavour profile and complementing the meat beautifully.

While the portion of meat provided was a tad limited, it's important to remember the exceptional value of the meal at just $9.90. In an increasingly expensive world, it's refreshing to find a delicious and affordable meal option. However, I do wish the meat had a bit more flavour or char, which is often associated with traditional Souvlaki.

As for the side, we ordered a plate of large chips to share. These were seasoned well and freshly cooked, offering a delightful crunch with each bite. A dollop of tomato sauce would have taken these chips from great to phenomenal, but even without it, they were quite enjoyable.

All in all, this Souvlaki place offers a tasty and budget-friendly dining experience that's perfect for families or anyone looking for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. With a little tweaking to the meat seasoning and the addition of tomato sauce for the chips, this establishment has the potential to become a 5-star favourite. We will definitely be...

I am not one to leave a bad review but this has to be said. I will not be ordering from here again. We’ve ordered here a few times now through Uber eats and each time they’ve messed up our order. The last time we made an order they forgot $60 worth of food. I spoke with Uber eats and we’d come to the resolution that once again it was the restaurant that had not fulfilled our order. I called up and spoke to Tania who said they’d gift us $60 worth of food to use the next time we ordered. (after being told it’d be delivered and waiting an hour after for it) Today I called up to order using the $60 voucher and asked to speak with Tania, Tania was instantly rude and aggressive without me even speaking, telling me they would not fulfil my order because I didn’t use within a month… (a time frame that was not mentioned to me - had I of known I would have used it within that time frame!!??) she then proceeded to raise her voice with me when I told her that this wasn’t very fair I did not know about the time frame, and than she told me if I had a problem I need to speak to head office than she hung up the phone. I am in complete shock by the way I was just treated. It’s one thing to take my money and not honour a gift voucher without communicating any timeframes, but then to yell at me when I was trying to come to a resolution is just unfair. After pondering for ages with my sister on what to have for dinner I finally convinced her that we should go to this place, she advised me on how many food poisoning incidents there had been but I told her she needed to give it a go…. I feel stupid now!!! After coming in and ordering almost $68.70 worth of food (for 2 people) and ordering for eat in we sat down and waited… mind you this $68.70 also included a $1 eftpos charge for using eftpos that I was not informed about until I looked at my receipt!! Sitting in the shop getting frustrated watching person after person leave with their food when they had ordered after us, I approached the counter at the 46 minute mark, asked where our food was and that we now wanted it take away as there was a group of intoxicated youths vaping on the table next to us. The girl behind the counter then proceeded to ask me how I had paid etc…. mind you I was holding my receipt, she apologised and said they will make it now… 52 minutes after ordering we had our food, got in the car and opened up the chips… COLD and small, souvlaki was that greasy and cold it had made the paper holding it translucent! After waiting for that long they could have Atleast given us hot food!!!Not worth the money, not worth the wait, I will not be returning and I will be telling everyone I know not too aswell!
