D'Gusto Thai Restaurant — Restaurant in Melbourne

This place was recommended to us for delicious Thai food and they were not wrong! We ordered online and picked up the order. The order was supported by great tech with SMS and immediate email confirmation - the food readiness was fast and pickup was a breeze! The food was super fresh, nice and hot (always a worry with takeaway food) and very flavoursome. We had Grilled Satay Tofu, Vegetable & Tofu Pad Satay, Vegetable & Tofu Red Curry, Massaman Curry, Roti bread and enjoyed the dishes with coconut rice for something different. It was a birthday dinner and they gifted up a dessert treat with a happy birthday message which was so thoughtful and sweet - and very unexpected! Yum! yum! Yum! A great meal...

We had a good meal overall, but waited well over an hour for the food to come, which was unusual as the restaurant wasn't even half-full. I had hoped by ordering some spring rolls and dim sum dishes, they would have at least made an earlier appearance, but we sat waiting with nothing on the table. The staff were apologetic, and even offered a small complimentary dish while we waited, but only after we raised concerns on the time. Made a booking for a Saturday evening early 6.15pm , as I had just had some surgery. Arrived at waited and waited. Saw 2 tables get up and leave which concerned me . On enquiring I was told it would be at least an hour to get our meal ( due to a massive number of online orders) so I asked for a refund as it was “order and pay” . Refund given .
