Delish Deli, Sandwich & Salad Bar — Restaurant in Melbourne

Ordered and paid for a platter on a Tuesday for Friday pick-up at 5.30pm. Came at 5.30pm on Friday, said i was here to pick up the platter, the guy who served me looked at me blankly and asked if i could come back in 20mins. It was obvious they had forgotten to prepare the platter. Mistakes do happen but the platter was done in a rush, i wondered whether the platter we received had everything it had supposed to have had for the $90 paid plus were the ingredients leftovers from the end of the day? The guy was then putting together the platter as I waited. The platter was a gift to me for fathers day from my housebound partner.

The biggest thing was that there was no apology or acknowledgement that the order had been forgotten. Ive been in the catering industry and sometimes, honesty is the best way. Other times i have been happy with the service but not on this occasion. In the end, when we tasted the platter, some of the ingredients didnt taste as fresh or nice as in the past due to it being rushed at the end of the day when it would have been prepared earlier with fresher...
