About 3 weeks ago we had a last minute decision to go out for dinner. Went in at EOS and was seated down the back stairs. Atmosphere is not great down here.
Decided to order 2 x mixed Gyros for 2 people and then 1 x Son of Zeus Platter for the other 2 people. Total 4 people.
A Mix Dip plate appears and is placed at our table. We eventually got the waiter back and said we did not order this. The plate was removed from our table and directly placed on a table 2 tables away from us. It had been sitting on our table for about 5 minutes and we did not touch it, but should have gone back to the kitchen instead of from one table to the next.
Our food eventually arrived. Now the Mixed Gyros and the Son of Zeus Platter are very similar. Mixed Gyros has Pita bread and a garden salad and the Son of Zeus has no Pita and Greek salad.
I would say the 1 plate of the mixed Gyros had the same amount of food on or even more than the Son of Zeus platter. The son of Zeus platter says 450 grams of Gyros. I would say more like 100g if you lucky and 350g of potatoes
At the end of the night when paying the bill, I had to get the Mix Dip which we did not order, removed from my bill.
I did make an enquiry straight afterwards on their website, but are still waiting for any kind of customer service at replying.
Please note there is not much meat in any of the mixed Gyros as most of it is...
Read moreWe read the reviews and were looking forward to a great meal..unfortunately…we were disappointed. $300 meal..which you don’t mind paying but the food was ordinary! Soft drinks were like water, Octopus salad didn’t look like the menu pics..they were the tiniest tentacles smaller than a squid. The char grilled calamari didn’t taste char grilled, fried calamari wasn’t the nicest either..too crunchy and just salty. Spanakopita was the worst I have had. It wasn’t crunchy..was put on a bed of balsamic vinegar which made it so soggy and it just over powered the taste. The filling wasn’t tasty and it looked like it had been made days ago. It should be flaky and crispy. The meat didn’t taste char grilled either and was shredded in such small pieces, felt like it was cooked on the grill. The Greek salad had a strange creamy dressing..not authentic Greek. Was looking for a good quality olive oil and lemon dressing but it was plain undressed salad with a strange dressing on top. The white bait special was so fishy (usually a sign of not very fresh fish) and very salty. The staff were helpful but we just left disappointed..not the best Greek food we’ve had. Expensive and very...
Read moreOMG! Just as good as my MIL's cooking. We selected the banquet for the four of us. Very generous portions! The dips were nice, but the pickles and carrots were delicious. The second course was a huge platter of different meats and seafood sitting on a bed of rice and potatoes, the accompaniment was Greek salad. The calamari was outstanding - lightly fried and so tender and the meats were so tasty. Desserts was a shared platter of fruit and a small sample of Greek Sweets including turkish delight and baklava. But at this stage, we were full and the amount of sweets was perfect. The only issue I have is that coffee/tea should be included in the banquet. We felt that there was a good amount of time between courses. Staff were very busy, but friendly and efficient. We walked out feeling stuffed to the brim with great Greek cooking. Will...
