I don't live locally and usually only pass through Greensborough once a month. On my last visit I ate dumplings in house and ordered 4 takeaway meals. Total order $91. Got a big bag full of containers so didn't think I'd have to check. That was a mistake.
Got home to Ringwood and discovered the duck dish I'd paid $21.80 for was not in the bag. Rang them and the girl on the phone was unable to confirm with the kitchen. Promised to call me the next day. Two weeks later....I'm still waiting. Of course there was no intention to call back. Just an excuse to get me off the phone during a busy lunchtime session.
Another dish ordered - pork on bones stew - was spread over 3 large containers and was literally just bones. Not shin marrow bones with meat attached but huge knuckles with virtually no meat. 8 big bones, but in total the meat left on them would have filled half a cup. Not even any marrow. Another $21.80 wasted.
The pork mince with green beans was tasty. The mince however, was crunchy with gristle and cartilage and even had short sections of veins thrown in the mix. The moment my guest got a piece of vein on her fork, she ran from the table.
Had the restaurant made some attempt to rectify the missing meal, I wouldn't be writing this review. I would have written off the disappointing meals and put it down to experience and a mental note to not order these again. But I'm upset they couldn't even count up 4 meals and pack them correctly and then not rectify it when given the opportunity.
They make good dumplings and the decor is attractive. That is worth 5 stars but the overall experience has left me greatly disappointed. Overall I think 2 stars is generous. I've eaten dumplings here 3 times in the past but now I...

Last Saturday, my husband and I decided to try out Lucky Little Dumplings for lunch, and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences we've ever had! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that set the tone for our meal.
The highlight, of course, was the food. Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor and expertly presented. In fact, we loved the food so much that we couldn't resist taking home some takeaway for dinner!
A special mention must go to Cindy, the manager, who took exceptional care of us throughout our visit. Her attentiveness and friendly demeanor made us feel right at home, she was also very funny which we loved. The waitress was also very polite and smiley.
Without a doubt, we highly recommend Lucky Little Dumplings! We left with full bellies and happy hearts, already planning our next visit. This place has definitely earned a spot on our favorites list! Thanks guys and see you...
Read moreIf u want the worst restaurant experience this is the place that will definitely succeed in doing that! Customer service, food was so bad, my partner and I thought we would try the place out. Waste of $60 we have ever spent. We ordered pork fried dumplings which were very dry and burnt. Beef oyster sauce with veggies had half a broccoli with one mushroom loads of onions and capsicums. We also ordered fried rice that came as we were paying for our order. The server had asked how was your food? as I was about to pay I said we didn’t receive the special fried rice she asked her manager, he replied you can take it in a take away container sorry about that. They bagged it up I was too tired to get all upset and left. Got to the car and was more upset that there was absolutely nothing special about the rice it was boiled rice with tiny mixed vegetables. For Chinese restaurant it’s so bad that you wouldn’t think it’s a Chinese...
