Please do not go to this place!! My family and I had a very bad experience, to the point we canceled our order and got a refund. The girl named Chloe took our order and was completely rude to my mum, my sister and I. She took our order, when the price was wrong and we questioned it Chole said in a rude and disrespectful tone “ I don’t know and I don’t care” the lovely chef came out and fixed the price. She then slammed our drinks on the counter saying “you come and get it”. I asked why she didn’t bring it to the table? She said “I’m too busy and because I asked her to bring the drink today the the table she went on to say “will leave your food at the front counter too and you can come get it”. Mind you she was on her phone the whole time and there were no customers in the restaurant or Uber deliveries. She then proceeded to call my mum an “old lady” multiple times and disrespected my family. She claimed she was the “manager” which the lovely chef said she wasn’t. The chef was amazing!! it’s very disappointing that rude and disrespectful people like Chloe work there. Complete disservice to the the business. When we called the next day to ask to speak to the manager, “ Chloe“ was once again rude and disrespectful. She said the manager wasn’t in and once again was disrespectful over the phone. Chloe refused to let me know when the manager was in next. Completely unacceptable and if you keep Chloe on you will get no customers. I’m going to let all my network know how disgusting this business especially Chloe. Management...

Do not waste your money in this shop! DODGY BUSINESS! CHECK YOUR CARDS FOR OVERPAYMENTS!! Always ask them for printed receipts!

I called this store for overcharging my card and was kept being promised to be refunded the overcharged amount but it never happened. The next time I called, I was told that I wasn’t overcharged but still will refund me in order to solve the issue. First of all, I ordered a cheeseburger in a meal and the guy in the counter said he made a mistake and only charged me the price of the burger itself. He said, if I still wanted it to be a meal he can charge me the price of a small chips which is $6, and just give me the drink for free. I didn’t ask for a receipt and paid it by my card, not expecting that they will be overcharging me. Take note, the counter does not show you the amount you are going to pay and that they only use a small machine that doesn’t have a screen to collect card payments. I have only found out once I reached home and gave them a call the following day. So, as you can see, I wasn’t charged just $6 on one of the transactions, but it was $12.72 instead. The $15.26 was for the solo cheeseburger, and the other $1.02 is for the takeaway box because the food took long to be served and we could not even finish the food as we have a taxi waiting.

I had an incredible experience at Fat Jack in Altona! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the staff were friendly and attentive.

I ordered the veggie burger with chips, and it did not disappoint! The burger was packed with flavor – a perfectly cooked veggie patty with fresh, crisp salad, delicious sauce, and a soft, fresh bun. It was one of the best veggie burgers I’ve ever had! The chips were golden, crispy, and seasoned just right – the perfect side to complement the meal.

The portion sizes were generous, and the food was served hot and fresh. I also loved the casual and relaxed vibe of the place, making it a great spot to enjoy a meal with friends or family. The service was quick, and the staff made sure everything was perfect.

Overall, I highly recommend Fat Jack in Altona! Whether you’re vegetarian or just looking for a great burger and chips, this place is a must-visit. I will definitely be coming back to try more from their menu. Five stars...
