I recently dined at Fat jacks hoping for a delightful experience, but unfortunately, it was anything but pleasant. From the moment I walked in, the entire evening was a series of disappointments.
The atmosphere was off-putting right from the start. The decor seemed outdated and not in a charming, vintage way—more like a lack of attention to detail. The lighting was dim to the point of being gloomy, and the music was either too loud or non-existent, creating an uncomfortable dining environment.
The service was shockingly poor. Despite having a reservation, we waited over 30 minutes to be seated. The staff seemed disorganized and indifferent. When we were finally seated, it took an eternity for anyone to acknowledge our table. The waitstaff was inattentive, and requests had to be repeated multiple times before they were fulfilled, if at all.
The food was the biggest letdown. We ordered a burger and every dish was subpar. The burger was cold and tasted like it had been sitting out for hours. The burger was over-seasoned to the point of being inedible. Even the simplest dishes lacked flavor and freshness. Portions were tiny for the exorbitant prices charged. Cleanliness was another major issue. The table was sticky, and there were visible crumbs and stains on the floor around our area. It was clear that basic hygiene standards were not being met, which is unacceptable for any dining establishment.
Overall, my experience at Fat Jacks] was overwhelmingly negative. The combination of poor service, unappetizing food, and a lackluster atmosphere makes it impossible for me to recommend this restaurant. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere if you're searching for a pleasant...
Read moreOkay let’s get one thing very clear: FatJaks Clayton isn’t just a place to eat — it’s a religion, a spiritual awakening, a cheesy, juicy, sauce-dripping pilgrimage. I came for the food but stayed for the absolute legend that is IBRAHIM. Like… bro. Are you even real???
First of all, this man is tall enough to high-five God. Second of all, his vibe? Immaculate. He greeted us like we were long-lost family, asked how our day was going, and you just knew he actually cared. Like?? That level of customer service should be ILLEGAL it’s so good 😭🙏.
Ibrahim doesn’t just make burgers. He makes edible masterpieces. Art. Michelin who? When Ibrahim is in the kitchen, it’s not just food, it’s a flavour symphony. My tastebuds were literally doing backflips and screaming his name in HD Dolby Surround Sound.
And don’t even get me started on how he remembered my order and added the perfect sauce combo without me saying a word. Psychic king. Burger prophet. Guardian angel of late-night cravings.
He’s funny. He’s warm. He’s so humble it hurts. And somehow, through all that? He’s still humble AND glowing like the LED signs on the menu board. Bro’s aura is made of halal-certified sunshine.
So yeah, 5 stars for the burgers, 1000 stars for Ibrahim. If you’re in Clayton and you’re NOT getting a feed from FatJaks with Ibrahim on the floor, what are you even doing with your life?
FatJaks Clayton = 10/10 Ibrahim = ∞/10. Certified burger hero....
Read moreWe were kindly invited to Fat Jak’s for a meal. We dropped by on a Sunday evening to the M City location. It’s very new, beautiful and clean on the inside. The staff were very friendly. The food was served quickly after ordering. We ordered the Jak Jr burger, the Lord of the rings onion rings, the Straya parma with fries, chicken wings with hot sauce and blue cheese dressing and gravy on the side. The food was presented well and looked delicious! We couldn’t wait to dig in. The burger patty was juicy and cooked slightly pink in the middle which we liked. The flavours were well-balanced with the sourness from the pickles and the saltiness from the bacon. The parma stole my heart - It was huge, so tender, was covered in cheese and bacon and it had an egg on top! They have 11 different parmas on the menu and I will be sure to be working through it! They all come with fries that are seasoned with something addictive - I could not stop eating them! The onion rings were crunchy, naturally sweet and also seasoned well - I loved that the batter on the onion rings was thin. The chicken wings with hot sauce and blue cheese dressing took me right back to America! I could imagine myself eating a bucket of them whilst watching TV. They were spicy, sour and moreish and went well with the creamy cooling blue cheese dressing. Wish we could have ice cream with their various cool toppings at the end but we were so stuffed. We will be back next time! Thank you Fat Jak’s for the...
