As a loyal patron since 2021, frequenting this establishment for my daily coffee or occasional breakfast, it's with a heavy heart that I find the need to address certain issues, specifically regarding an experience with a staff member. Let’s call her Lisa. Lisa, who stands at approximately 165 cm, communicates in fluent English with a slight Asian accent and has an olive skin tone, displaying behavior that was less than professional.

On a recent visit, my dining companion and I placed an order at 8:40 am, expecting to dine in at 9:00 am. By 9:07 am, our order hadn't arrived, despite full payment and assurances that our food would be ready shortly. After multiple follow-ups, we regretfully had to leave at 9:40 am without our breakfast due to time constraints with university lectures.

Approaching Lisa later for an explanation as to why our order was delayed, I was met with aggression and rudeness, which was disheartening. Unfortunately, this isn't an isolated incident. Past interactions have included Lisa refusing a carry bag for my order with a remark (THESE BAGS ARE TOO FANCY FOR YOU) that felt racially insensitive, responding disdainfully to a simple request for a paper tissue, and expressing annoyance at my dietary restrictions reminders.

These experiences compel me to suggest that while retraining might be a starting point, more comprehensive steps such as hospitality management or customer service courses could be beneficial for Lisa. This is not to chastise but to foster an environment of understanding and respect that I believe every customer deserves. AS A GESTURE OF SUPPORT, I PROPOSE REDIRECTING MY REFUND TOWARDS LISA'S ENROLLMENT IN SUCH COURSES, HOPING IT CONTRIBUTES POSITIVELY TO HER PROFESIONAL DEVELOPMENT.

Despite these encounters, I want to highlight the exceptional service provided by the rest of the staff, who have always been kind, caring, and nurturing. Their dedication to excellent service should not go unnoticed, and I continue to recommend this restaurant for its quality food and the welcoming atmosphere created by the team. My advice to future patrons is to not let this review deter you from visiting. The food and service, by and large, are commendable. It's my hope that my feedback will lead to positive changes, enhancing the dining...

Have been a loyal customer for a while now, but won't be coming back. My partner and I had 2 free M-City coffee coupons, and went into the cafe to claim our usual coffees. The main older asian barista, who knows my order off by heart when I come in (large almond latte with honey), rejected our coffee coupons, stating the coupons were for "small coffees only". Not to me or my partner's knowledge, the coupon stated in microscopic writing it was for only small coffees.

We were shocked. I honestly thought that being loyal customers holding coupons for free coffees, he would happily make our usual order! Furthermore, it's not like our usual coffee order would cost so much more merely upgrading it to a large!

So, I returned the coupons to the barista, as I don't usually get small coffees. In response he said, "I can use the two coupons to make one large coffee for you". Like seriously? My partner was right there with me, and you want to take her coupon away to upgrade my coffee?

I don't understand how businesses like these think they can operate, if they are going to follow every single minor rule or policy. Sometimes, it is important to make adjustments for customers to make them feel like their loyalty means something. And it is not like this adjustment (upgrading from a small to my usual large coffee order) would greatly disrupt the business of a thriving cafe. Nor it seems these coffee coupons are handed out frequently.

People come to cafes for coffee and the customer service experience. Loyal and regular customers are the cornerstone of thriving local businesses, and unfortunately, I won't be...

I recently visited M-CITY Cafe with my wife and son for breakfast, and I must say we had an amazing experience. The cafe has a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel at home. The menu offered a variety of options, and we tried different dishes. I ordered the chilli egg with sausage, which was absolutely delicious. The combination of the egg and sausage was perfect, and the chilli added a nice kick to it. My wife had the French toast, and she loved it. The fruit compote (apple, banana, and berry) added a fresh twist to the dish, making it a perfect mix of flavors. My son had the ham and cheese croissant, and he enjoyed it a lot. The croissant was fresh, flaky, and filled with tasty ham and cheese.

The coffees and smoothies were also exceptional. The drinks were well-made, and they tasted amazing. The coffee had a rich aroma and flavor, and the smoothies were refreshing and delicious.

Aside from the great food, the service was also fast and friendly. The staff was welcoming and accommodating, making our visit a truly pleasant one.

In summary, M-CITY Cafe is a fantastic breakfast spot that I would highly recommend. The food was excellent, the drinks were great, and the service was top-notch. If you're looking for a cozy and tasty breakfast spot, M-CITY Cafe is definitely worth...

I visited this place and tried their Pulled Pork Eggs Benedict and of course, some coffee. The pulled pork was deliciously done very flavorful. The pork was soft, sweet, and had the right amount of savory with a kick of spiciness due to the hot sauce. Thankfully the eggs were there to balance it all out. It was quite a heavy meal for me in terms of what I eat for breakfast but I didn't mind because I biked to get there. I stayed away from my usual flat white and actually ordered something sweet which was a good decision for that day because of the kicks of spiciness from the dish. The place was easy to find, it was quite busy when I got there but it was still quiet so I got to chill a bit.

Disappointing experience, I ordered the waffle French toast that specifically states that it is a homemade waffle, however when it came out there was no French toast aspect whatsoever and the waffle was identical to the Toscano waffles that you can pick up at Cole’s or Woolies for $7. My friend also got the caramelised coffee waffles and the ‘caramelised coffee sauce’ was just a bad shot of espresso. The menu is misleading and I would’ve been significantly less disappointed if they didn’t use the term ‘homemade’ when it clearly wasn’t. Coffee was decent and service was ok but I wouldn’t recommend this place for food
