I can forgive the time it took for my drink to be delivered in case it was a new staff. In fact when the lovely lady next to me complained how long it took the blonde waitress to make the drinks for her and 2 seated customers there, that she finished eating before the drink was delivered, I was saying probably she's new & asked if it was good. That we can just hope with experience she'll be quicker in future.
When my drink arrived, I requested the table be cleaned. It was the sake blonde waitress the lady was complaining about to me. Waitress went back to her station and was arranging cups before brought out cloth & spray to clean. Customer service doesn't seem to be the priorities.
But what made my blood boil is the blonde waitress went on to clean my table by spraying directly onto the table, the mist sprayed on my cupcake! I was looking at phone & noticed the mist! Looked up to see she sprayed again directly on table, nozzle pointing at table but the mist was in the direction of my food & chai!! When I reprimanded her & said I can't consume that, instead of apologizing she justified her action. Hygiene and food safety wise this is totally unacceptable. When I asked if she was gonna replace mine, she argued. Looked blurr and finally took it away. Her colleague was lovely & served me the replacement. I checked if that's how they are trained to clean tables with food on it. Her colleague said she'd spray onto the cloth & wipe - now that's common sense. So, management, please retrain your blonde waitress who worked this evening on the safe way to clean tables when there's food, how to prioritize customer service instead of other tasks & how to respond to customers complaint. I didn't shout, but yes I was shocked and asked "What are you doing? The mist reached my food". And she argued saying it didn't,...
Read moreGot the Biscoff Cake - the centre of the cake was RAW, and I mean dough raw! My poor mother was sick to her stomach all night. The texture of the cake was uneven and truly awful. The parts of the cake that were cooked tasted strange. The Biscoff biscuits were stale and the icing had hardened to the point where I could knock a knife against it. The cake wasn’t just under baked, it had clearly been sitting in the fridge for an extended period. Fresh cake was a clear lie! Coles make a better mud cake that a. doesn’t make you crook b. is cooked evenly and c. actually tastes decent. The amount you pay for this service was despicable. I’ve had this cake from another FP Bakehouse, it was actually decent. This cake should’ve been thrown away in-store. My mother genuinely has food poisoning from eating this. I’m glad I refused to eat it!
Gauging from the reviews, this store often sells stale cakes. It appears rare for any good cake reviews to surface; you have to be ‘lucky’ to get something edible.
Go to the Cheesecake Shop, this place is horrendous and clearly has no standards.
The owner should be ashamed, however emotions are subjective. More than 6% have complained about management in the reviews. It’s easily established by the continued reviews that the owner has not implemented fair work standards to mitigate these matters.
It’s become evident that the owner is complacent. Moving forward the only way to ensure quality, as well as accountability, is for these numerous food safety/culture discrepancies to be escalated to the relevant...
Read moreIf i could rate this a zero i would. I’m writing this review to express my deep disappointment after witnessing an extremely upsetting incident at Ferguson Plarre Bakehouse. During my visit, a new employee had just started their shift when the manager began berating them in front of multiple customers. The tone was aggressive and belittling, and it was clear the employee was overwhelmed and distressed.
Despite the employee’s visible discomfort, the manager continued with no sign of remorse or professionalism. The situation escalated to the point where the employee left the store in tears. It was an incredibly uncomfortable and disheartening experience to witness, not only for me but for other customers present.
No one, especially a new staff member deserves to be treated this way, especially in a public setting. The behavior I witnessed was not only unprofessional but entirely unacceptable. A manager should be someone who supports and guides their team, not someone who tears them down in front of others.
I sincerely hope that Ferguson Plarre's leadership takes this matter seriously. This individual should not be in a position of authority, and based on what I saw, their behavior warrants immediate disciplinary action, if not dismissal.
Until this is addressed, I will not be returning and I encourage others to hold businesses accountable when they allow this kind of mistreatment to happen on...
