I purchased mini cakes for a dinner i was hosting from Ferguson Plarre Bakehouse in Epping Plaza last Friday 4th December 2020 with not much change from $50. That night I went to cut the cakes in halves and quarters as my guest like to sample a little of everything. As I tried to cut into the first donut (jam filled x 1) I noticed i had to use a little pressure, I then tried to press my finger into it and it was stale. The 2nd and 3rd donuts were the same (Nutella x1 & Boston Bun x 1 donut). I then attempted the cut the red velvet (x 1) & flour less orange cake (x 1) both stale. I was so embarrassed as I usually bake my own desserts but didn't have time, what a regret. I also went to cut the apple slice ( x 2) and that wasn't any better. The only thing we managed to try was the vanilla slice (x 2) and even they seemed a day old. The lamington/cream (x 1) was the only fresh cake in the purchase. The next day (6/12/20) I went back to let them know, the manager wanted the cakes for proof and refund would be issued if the were found to be old. She kept insisting they were fresh. I went home, took what I could out of the bin and returned them to her. She kept speaking over me and defending the business making excuse with everything i said. She said she would call me Wednesday to let me know the outcome once headoffice got the returned. I said if she didn't get me on Wednesday to please leave a message with a contact number and I'd call her back incase I was on a work call. Surprise surprise no call Wednesday, Thursday or today. I stopped by there today, manager looked at me grabbed a rag and started wiping down the tables ignoring me. One of the two sales assistant asked if she could help me, I replied "I'm waiting to speak to the manager who was ignoring me". The young girl was getting nervous trying to get the manager's attention who chose to not only wipe and then clear all the tables, but proceeded to go behind the counter and clean there too, when one of the others could easily have done it, while i waited a good 5-7 minutes with no other customers in sight. I said: you didn't call me as promised Wednesday? Her: I wasn't here, it was my day off Me: and you couldn't call yesterday or this morning? Her: because you came last Saturday i thought you were working Me: never assume, you should have called as promised. You had ample time yesterday or today. Or you could had one of the staff call me Wednesday to advise you weren't in. Her: My bad Me: Your management skills leave a lot to be desired....extremely poor and untrustworthy Not once did she apologize for my experience, the issue at hand, for selling me old desserts or failing to...
Read moreAt the Epping plaza kiosk for a pie and coffee. Product is the usual fare from FP so no surprise there. However, was given my pie and had to wait for my coffee. Not ideal but I thought ok. Well, finished my pie and sat there waiting for my coffee which didn't arrive. Finally asked one of the young girls who went and organised for it to be made. Had obviously been missed. When it did arrive I, like a previous customer I witnessed, had to ask for sugar. Coffee was burning hot. Not a problem for me, I like it that way but too hot really for coffee. As I sat there waiting for my coffee the girls brought out what looked like a cappuccino. I know this because most of the foam was falling down the outside of the cup. With no apologies or comment the coffee was placed down and left. Overall this place appears to have changed hands since the re-opening. Girls are young and appear to lack training. Not rude but there is not really any attempt at engagement with there customers, and absolutely no urgency to the manner in which they do their work. In short they need supervision. I am not a regular customer as such but have been visiting FP for well over 20 years. Moving forward i will not visit this particular kiosk. There are many...
Read moreIf I can give zero stars i would!! Kani the store manager, is the most arrogant, rude, unprofessional excuse for a person let alone a manager. They ruined my daughters bday cake by misspelling her name very very obvious, after complaining to her, she blamed me and my mother for the mistake even though there was clear evidence of their mistake. Then refused to refund me saying quote the cake needed to be returned first. After a few more words, she said i will not take any orders from you again. Yes thats right they did the mistake but blamed the customer who paid $116 for it and told her they won't take orders from her again. There is so much more to to say about how she spoke to me and what she said but i will leave it at that. STAY AWAY FROM HERE FOR ANYTHING! Put your money somewhere else, because when they do stuff up and they will, you will deal with this individual that will...
