2 stars only due to the poor service of staff. The food was nice. The staff that greeted us was not very welcoming and make you feel not welcomed. We chose what we wanted to eat and staff walked by ignoring us waiting to order. When we finally ordered the girl taking our order didn't understand 'lemonade' which I repeated 3 times until I had to point it on the menu.
The bought the food out in front of us and it was another tables food. When waiting one of the staff put a menu back and it slipped and hit me in the back of the head. She picked it off the floor and didn't apologise, I now have a sore on my head from the sharp point or the menu. Don't sit near the bar/pay area as this is dangerous with the menu stack there.
Our food arrived but they never bought out the soul. 15 minutes passed before I asked the lady who took our order and she said it will be few more minutes. Another lady come out 5 minutes later apologised she forgot to give it to us.
Overall the experience was bad but the food good. I don't recommend this place to westerners as it's probably not great. My partner is Asian and has been going here since he was young as this is only my 2nd time going. I don't recommend the rice and Chinese sasuage or soups. I do recommend the prawn dumpling and xo...
Read moreWas here for dinner and wanted to sit at a corner table only to be told that the table is meant for 2 people only. There were 3 of us. The tables are arranged to accommodate any number of customers, be it 2 or 4 per table, and we could sit at that table but they refused. The slightly bald headed man in glasses insisted we sit at another table. This is not the first time this has happened. His attitude is very bad too and pulled such a long face. When we finally gave in and sat at a table he assigned us to, he insisted again that we sat towards the inside of the table. We decided to leave at the end! So many restrictions, we can never choose our ideal table or seats and always being controlled as to where we should be seated?! Totally ridiculous and hopeless customer service. The man is also extremely rude in arguing with his customers when he is so unreasonable to start with. We will be avoiding this restaurant for good. Customers spend good money to have a nice experience, but this restaurant truly is not worth the money due to their poor customer service...
Read moreThey has kept the interior of the restaurant unchanged for the last 10 years and that reminded me those good old times I spent with my late grandmother. Some of their soups are tasty but I generally avoid anything features lean porks. Although, the soups are continuously boiling in the steamer however, somehow I felt the soups aren’t freshly made daily. I highly recommend ordering the signature clay pot rice with Chinese sausages. The sausage fat mix with sizzling steam rice in a clay pot is definitely mouth watering. The crust of the rice is just right on point, not too chewy or burnt. Two suggestions to the restaurant: 1) please don’t thinly sliced the sausages. Please offer the whole sausages for extra charge. 2) please offer sweet soy sauce (Lee Kum Kee Claypot Sauce) to customer as the condiment. One last thing, please stay away from ordering the chicken claypot rice. The sauce topping was bad and the chicken pieces were too...
