One thing let this place down - a money grasping attitude. We ordered, thought everything was in Order. We were served our soups, although not at the same time, it wasn't any deal breaker. We waited for our side to arrive. After a while we waved the Waiter/Waitress over and she said it hadn't come up and would we still like it and that it would be easier if we would pay cash. So while she went away to organise our mixed pickle, we rummaged around for the $4.80 that was the price on the large display menu. When she arrived back, we both noticed that she had come with the pickles in a pre,-prepared small plastic container but we had already seen the ones prepared in lovely bowls for diners... Ok weird but we both said nothing but then the Clanger! Waitress says we have to pay a Surcharge - that's right folks, she had asks us to pay Cash to make it easier, but now insists there is a cash surcharge. Note we have already paid the $4-5 surcharge for the two $17.oo soups. She has already taken the plastic lid from the container, I say, you know what? Don't worry about it., we don't have enough Cash. She puts the lid back on the mixed pickles and leaves. No apology for the initial stuff-up, Nothing. I say to dauwt, "Really, she should have just offered the damm pickles!" Later we discussed why we were being served sides in plastic take-away container when everyone around us had their extras in proper bowls... Soup meal - Great! Service - particularly lacking. We won't go into her yelling out to the junior who brought us our Take-Home Container - Don't forget to charge them 50c. Again, she calls out across the restaurant, "50 cents." OmGoodness,...
Read moreHow about a sumptuous and comforting noodle feast for lunch/dinner to keep you warm this winter? @bowltiful.noodles has opened up a new store in Boxhill and they are whipping up handmade noodles with their signature Lanzhou beef noodle soup, cold side dishes and homemade drinks.
What we had here:
Authentic Lanzhou beef noodle soup, so satisfying and absolutely delicious soup noodles, and the mild spicy hint feels so good inside the mouth. The beef prices were of generous servings and were very tender. Strongly recommended
Dry noodles with braised lamb flap, this was spicy but extremely tasty it was, this was my favourite one from the day. And loved the soft noodles and the flavourings in this noodle, so fantastic and feels very fresh. Must try
Hot chilli oil spill dry noodle, their first vegetarian noodle, and comes with no meat but cucumber. This was interesting but the spiciness of this one can make your mouth go numb.
Beef tripe salad, crunchy chewy and tastes very yum.
Five spiced braised peanuts, oh my this was very addictive in taste, must try.
Honey hawthorn tea is a must to calm your mouth from all the heat, since it’s super refreshing and sweet enough to make you love this drink.
Also the service is friendly and you can watch the chef prepare the noodles by giving various shapes to it, it’s a wonder to watch honestly. The prices are unbelievably reasonable even though you get generous portion sizes.

My family and I dined here for dinner on Sunday, 16th April 2023, and we were disappointed with our experience. Despite the restaurant being empty, the staff refused to let us join tables because we hadn't made a booking, so we had to sit separately on two different tables. After some time, we asked again and were eventually allowed to sit together.
My kids did not want the noodles, which were the only option available on the menu. We brought food from outside for them, but the staff reprimanded us for doing so, even though we had already ordered and paid for our food. We put the outside food away, but the kids had to wait until we left to eat it, by which time it had gone cold.
When the food arrived, it was terrible. The broth was bitter, and there was more chilli oil than soup. The meat was minimal and unappetizing, resembling offal more than anything else. None of us could eat it. We asked for a few bowls to remove some of the oil, but even after doing so, there was still too much left.
We decided to ask for a refund and leave. However, when we asked for a full refund, they only offered to refund part of the money, despite all the bowls being full. Overall, it was a terrible experience, and I would never recommend this place.
In the words of Gordon Ramsay, "there was so much oil that America was ready to attack it." I would give negative stars if I could. I have attached photos of the oil we removed from each bowl, which were...
