Where do I start? On entry we were quickly seated and drink menus given. Manager comes over to take the drink order and immediately you can tell he is on his period. One of our guest asked if there was draft beer, aggressively he answers bottle or glass, instead of saying we only have bottled beer he again says bottle or glass, he settled on a bottled beer which ironically was severed with a glass, again Manager on his period. The entertainment was poor, I feel as though the chefs are scared of him, so when the manager is on his period, no fun is to be had. There was no interaction with the chef until about the last 5 minutes where bowls were to be caught and an egg tossed into your mouth, I could have had this much fun at home with my gorgeous 6 month old great nephew. The manager made us feel like we were wasting his time in us being there, by cleaning up after us like we were children, while food was still on our plates, when this was pointed out to him, he did not take kindly to this, telling us to hurry up and eat the food while still hot. If that wasn't bad enough, when it was time to have egg thrown into our mouths, he told the birthday girl, just open your big mouth, and you'll be fine. I would only recommend this place to people if they want an evening of insults, bland food and the manager just wants you in and out with a large bill for his pleasure of...

Rude chef. Treated my boyfriend horribly and made gross comments to me the entire night. Took my boyfriend here for his birthday and we were served tepanyaki by a young man. I have forgotten his name but it could have been David?? Anyways, we arrive and this is my boyfriend’s first tepanyaki experience so we are both really excited. By the end of the evening I felt so HORRIBLE and GUILTY that I had taken him there. The server acted disgustingly towards him. He went on and on about how he didn’t believe my boyfriend could pull me as I was way out of his league. When it came to catching the food with our bowls, he tossed the egg straight into my breasts (inappropriately) and I had to reach into my dress to get it out to which he commented that he has “good aim”. When it came to my boyfriend’s turn, he did not allow him to catch anything and instead tossed multiple pieces of egg at him in one go so that they went all over him and all over the floor. He was also snarky with my boyfriend the whole time. I apologised so much to him when we left because I felt so horrible and that experience just made me feel so bad for taking him there on his special day. This happened in November 2024, and I have only just had the chance to write this review. There is so much more to say about that night however I should have said something on the day. What a...

This restaurant doesn't even deserve a 1 start rating Dined at this establishment on Valentines day. It was the first time myself and my partner had experienced Teppanyaki and we were very excited.

I called in advance to inform the hostess that we were running late for our 8:00pm booking. Upon entering the restaurant we were seated at a teppanyaki table by ourselves. There were 8 spots free at our table. We ordered our set menu and were absolutely appalled at the little or no atmosphere that was displayed both by our chef and the service.

The small servings of food were adequate but were ruined by the overall vibe and lack of care of our chef and waiters.

The atmosphere around our table was amazing with the other chefs doing cooking challenges and shows incorporating the food. It made myself and my partner feel quite out of place as there was clearly no effort being made.

I would have thought when I called and said I was going to be late that I would be informed that you would be seated alone and I wouldn't have come and rebooked for another time.

I did bring this to what I assumed to be the owners attention on my way out of the restaurant, to which he explained that three other couples had cancelled and it was just unfortunate.

It was the worst dining experience I have had to this date and will not be recommending this Restaurant...

Came here with my wife for a good experience and good food. At least that’s what we though we walked into. Don’t get me wrong, the set up was nice, ambience was good and service was amicable. The teppanyaki experience on the other hand was disappointing. Couple of flips of the utensils which he kept on dropping was funny but when it happens ever too often, it’s not. We paid the $60 per person that comes with prawns, fish and chicken. Food was decent. Simple. Nothing fancy. Wouldn’t pay that much. Felt like a rip off. Worst off was when I was still eating, the waiter wanted to take my plates away. At least let me finish what’s in my mouth. Felt very rushed. If you’re couple and have $120 to burn, go elsewhere for a good dinner. 4/10.

Set back a little from Mt Alexander Road just south of Moonee Ponds, it’s easy to miss this quiet, unassuming, but very good Japanese restaurant. Large blonde pine tables with seating for eight to 12 people around a barbecue grill plate is the first thing we noticed. No quiet, romantic tables for two. The chefs cook your food in front of you so you can see it’s all fresh and co-ordinated as you finish one course for the next. Our very helpful chef said there were up to 10 or more cooks working, that night. We went for a birthday party and it was quite entertaining. We opted for different Set Menus (they start from $69 to $139 I think) The food was good and it was a lovely night with a great atmosphere.
