Gluten Free 4 U — Restaurant in Melbourne

This was a last minute stop on my trip to Melbourne (I am from Sydney) and I kid you not, it was Coeliac Heaven! So many choices, at such reasonable prices for gluten free fare! Naturally, I was unable to choose only one or two items so my partner and I left with an assortment of 7 or 8 items to consume on the drive home. My partner is not a Coeliac and happily munched down on all the delights with me remarking that some were better than their gluten-containing counterparts!

The staff in the bakery were helpful, friendly and patient as I procrastinated on my multitudes of decisions (you do not understand how hard it was not to walk away without the whole store) and made recommendations based in questions about my tastes.

Definitely worthy stop for all the gluten intolerant folk; you will not regret a visit to this store! I can't wait...

Many frozen savoury options plus a selection of fresh cakes cookies and pastries. I had a nice apricot & custard danish (slightly doughy in the centre but I didn't bother chucking it in the air fryer to warm it up which maybe would have worked best). I also purchased a frozen chicken and vegetable pie for later use. Items are close to double that in your common Vietnamese bakery but perhaps close to those in high end bakeries and pattiseries like Egons. Signage suggests coeliacs should be safe here, I also saw some vegan options, however I am not coeliac only gluten intolerant so cannot verify...

You can get almost every type of gluten free baked products from gluten free 4 u from breads and flour to cakes pasta and even gluten free frozen meals. The cakes are to die for and the bread are even better. Once you have had one of there gluten free sourdough loaves you will never be able to go back to a supermarket bought gluten free loaf again. They also make fab celebration cakes for every occasion which means no one has to miss out on a slice of that special occasion cake. Must say though our families favorite sweet treat is there jam dognuts warmed in the microwave with a little ice...
