Update 31/08/24: I went there today because I was craving the granola / muesli and guess what? The menu was updated and the dish was removed !! Shame haha anyway I had the ricotta pancakes instead and it was also really good, it wasn’t too sweet and the fillings was generous. The coffee was really good too and the staff was very friendly again. It’s my 4th visit there and I have been enjoying every single time.
I went there this morning for the weekly breakfast routine. First visit in this little cafe that was bigger than expected with a lovely courtyard. The bagels looked really good and appetising. The sandwiches looked also very nice. We started with the coffee, very warm and delicious Flavour. Probably a 8 out of 10 for me ! Better than average for sure. I often take granola or muesli for breakfast and this muesli was the perfect size, great amount of fresh fruit. Perfect amount of yogurt and finally the muesli itself was just so beautiful. Amoung the top 3 that I had in the past year for sure. I will definitely have to come back and try some of the other items on the menu. The staff was very friendly and very attentive. Didn’t wait long before our coffee arrived and the food was almost too quick hehe. Finally, not overpriced. Another place to recommend. Strongly...
Read moreDECENT CAFE IN QUIETER PART OF NORTH FITZROY The cafe has a small menu of sandos (available at breakfast time) and a few breakfast dishes and serves a decent coffee. Out front, indoor and outback courtyard tables. People with mobility issues should be OK if seated in front or in the first part of indoor area. wheelchair access to rear sections would be very challenging as would the very squishy toilet. Staff are friendly and attentive. We went for a 9:30 ish breakfast on a Saturday and snagged one of the last tables. Table surface was a bit grimy but ok after we requested fo it be wiped down.... although would have been nice to be prepped before opening.
Quite a few customers brought their dogs with them... very...
Read moreThis place used to have the best chicken katsu sandwich. I don't know if a went in on a bad day but it was disappointing. The fluffy shokupan bread was squished into effectively a flatbread, the chicken that's normally juicy was dry and overcooked, and the other toppings weren't mixed properly so there was syrup dripping out. The coffee had those glossy bubbles that show when the milk hasn't been heated/poured properly, and I had to add sugar to make it taste okay. Also on the time and day I go, when I leave the place is usually packed, this day it was half empty when I left. This is speculation but it could be others are experiencing the same and not...
