Really enjoyed my experiences here last year and the year before but my last two occasions have been disappointing. I always bring my children here to have the mini me packs which they love. The time before last my daughters burger was so undercooked I had ask for it to be cooked again. The staff member was very good and got it taken back but it took so long to arrive that we had to take it away with us. And then my daughter didn’t want to eat it as it was cold. That’s not Grilld’s fault of course but it would have been nice to all eat together. I should have asked for a refund but I didn’t expect it to take so long. Then last time I went with just my son and the same thing happened with my burger, although his was fine. I had the Melbourne as I usually do but the meat was so raw that it didn’t appear to be cooked at all. I don’t mind a bit of pink but this was raw. The staff member took it back for me. What confused me was that the staff then had a loud conversation about it. They replaced my burger and it arrived quickly which was great. The burger itself was perfect and tasty as I come to expect. It’s just awkward having to send things back and it’s puzzling how the meat was so raw on too occasions. I will still come back and I’m sure I was just unlucky those times as it is...
Read moreWould you like food poisoning with your order I have eaten Grilled from time to time and always ordered and picked up etc. To use the old cliché you should never ask how the sausage is made :) myself my brother and elderly mother decided to have some Grilled for lunch last week. As you might have guessed it was not a good experience. Yes the staff went through the standard behavior from what I saw. But here is the fun part, I waited behind a couple of people ordering to eat in like ourselves and was shocked (no "shocked" is not to strong). This is what I observed, one staff member stuffing the fries into the cup with bare hands and handling eftpos machine whilst taking an order, another staff member cooking and taking a break to take orders and yes they wore gloves but alternated from grill to screen to eftpos, one poor customer was served an order after the chips were stuffed with bare hands and hair being brushed back. We decided to walk out and found somewhere more hygienic. My mother in particular was very offended. Me, no more Russian roulette with my food. And...
Read moreIronically, they call their burgers healthy! I'd rather call them high quality burgers with original flavours, with meat coming from supposedly healthy animals... no, but seriously - the burgers are better than at any fast food chain, but you'll also pay more for them. On average, they charge around 12 AUD for JUST the burger. You wouldn't really need the with rosemary and seasalt flavoured chips to fight your hunger. Nice idea: with your meal, you'll receive a token that you can use to vote for one out of three local community projects that the shop supports (with different projects each month). The staff is super friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is nice and the restaurant is conveniently located within World Square in Sydney CBD. We had the Almighty Beef Burger which was extremely yummy and deserved its name, and the Hot Hombre Chicken Burger (with Chilli Black Bean sauce, cheese, grilled chicken etc.) - a bit too spicy for mey. Next time I'll try the lamb burger with...
