We came here on weeknight for dinner and the restaurant was not busy. The restaurant is located across the Essendon train station and it was easy to find parking. We were craving for ramen so we ordered the chicken Katsu miso ramen and beef teriyaki bento set to share. The waitress made a mistake and served us vegetarian ramen instead of chicken katsu. Apparently she put through the wrong order to the kitchen and was very apologetic. When the chicken katsu miso ramen arrived, it was very disappointing. We had many ramen before and it is by far the worst ramen we had tasted. The miso broth was salty and not tasty at all, sadly to say that even instant packet ramen noodle tasted better than this. Also we never had carrots and cabbage in ramen, these are clearly cheap vege options but it was badly chopped. I’m not expecting the Japanese finesse but they could have done better. This will be the first time I didn’t finish a bowl of ramen. The beef teriyaki bento was ok, it filled you up. Don’t think we will return to this place.

Pleasant and friendly waitress although limited in English but managed to help us out. Small set up, clean and well lit. Menu is priced reasonably and well portioned. We order the unagi bento set and salmon teriyaki bento box. Loved it and no complains at all. The unagi is cooked to perfection. Would be back to try to others. 7/10.

Friendly small Japanese eatery. The sushi and sashimi was nice, clean and fresh tasting. It was busy when we visited so the service was a bit slow but understandably so. The decorations were simple and the layout was decent with a few small table for the outdoor seating. This place is more for small gatherings. #japanesefood

I need to give this eatery 5 star as they were so accommodating as we were 15mins late for our reservation.

The ambience of this restaurant gives you feel of a typical Japanese restaurant in Japan. It’s neatly spaced out, taking into the considerations of Covid social distancing measures. I didn’t had the time to inspect the restrooms as I was indulging myself in their hospitality and food.

A big kudos to the poor wait staff. It was a busy restaurant running dine-in and take-always simultaneously. She’s running the show like a headless chook but managed to find its cage successfully without any hiccups. She’s super cute and friendly. Nil complaint about the service rendered. She took care of us well though she was extremely busy.

My spicy chicken bento box was splendid and no complaints. Right price and right quantity. Taste and flavour trickled my olfactory well. The presentation was exemplary. My partner who doesn’t like to kill the poor animals had vegetable don and he said he was in ecstasy.

We highly recommend this place if you are at Essendon not for the footy. Price is justifiable for the service and...

I ordered Teriyaki beef don and Chicken katsu don for my dinner around 8.20pm. I understand the staffs wanna go home earlier but they need to cook enough for customer as we paid them. When I ate the vegetables in the beef don, it seems like the vege just come out from soil. It’s not fresh. It is just VEGE, if you plant the veges, they definitely must grow. Also, the sauce was too poor. The sauce was only in the meat. So, the meat was salty and vege just come from coles or woolworths. I was so disappointed and I don’t wanna...
