Went to a teenage birthplace party here on Saturday evening (private event). Quite simply, it ticked every box. The staff were truly amazing. They’d set up the place beautifully with real attention to detail. They smiled all evening, nothing was too much trouble for them and even with rowdy teens, they took it in their stride. The atmosphere was catered to all age groups, with teens in a fitting dimly lit main area that partied to their playlists over the house speaker system and there was a separate retreat are for we ‘oldies’ where we were close enough to hear or lean over for a glance at the teens, but far enough away to give them a sense of independence; well done to the staff for thinking of this. Now the food, wow, it was so tasty. Our group all agreed that the sausage rolls were the best we’d ever had, and the array of options was fabulous and delicious; from the more grown up Arancini balls and chicken skewers, to the burgers and fries, there was something for everyone and all was yummy and plenty to go around. I’m guessing the gentleman that initially greeted us was one of the owners and he was such a delight. I don’t often write reviews but this was one place that definitely deserves acknowledgment. Thank you for a wonderful evening, for your patience, understanding and tireless efforts…you’re staff are a real credit to you and their smiles did not go unnoticed, and of course thank you for your delicious culinary delights. A real jewel...
Read moreWe have dined here many, many times, but after today I think it may be our last. What has happened here.
It was actually embarrassing to take interstate friends here for brunch today, only to be let down with poor service and even worse, average food and drinks. And please don’t blame covid that is history.
Hot chocolate is not hard to make, except when you don't make it hot and forget to add the chocolate. Basically was lukewarm milk. Coffee was also warm at best.
Eggs on toast. Well one small piece of toast for two eggs…..really... is one piece of toast for each egg that expensive.
Stacked Belgium Waffles (not sure 2 equals a stack) with berries and ice cream. Wow so enjoyed the one (1) sliced strawberry and four... yes four blueberries. Holy smoke are you serious.
Now let's talk service or better still, let's watch the service stand around and talk. We had to find our own table, had to ask to get the table cleaned when we arrived, had to get our own water and took our drink back to get corrected. Maybe hire less staff that stand around and you can review the cost for food quantity provided.
We should have realised when two other customers left half their breakfast when they walked out as an indication something was not going to go well.
So hope this place gets back to what made it so great once upon a time. Until then we will take our...
Read moreBecause it's a cafe so let's start with coffee. The coffee was amazing. Beautifully presented, perfect temperature and amazing taste.
The food was so delicious and again very well presented. The prices are very competitive too. The serve size was big enough.
There is heaps of space. Inside and outside.
Although the cafe was crazy busy, due to mother's day. They were managing it very well.
And to top it all off. The hospitality was probably the best. The manager Peter saw us worried about the little one getting cold, due to wind coming in through open door, he closed that door probably 15-20 times during the crazy busy period. As someone or other left it open. Just looking after a customer without saying anything.
The staff was so welcoming too.
I have tried probably 6 cafes in this area so far and can vouch for this one to be the best. Not that any others are bad. But these guys have pushed the...
