I tried to redeem my free bubble tea voucher which expired on 15 Dec 2024.
When I arrived on the 15th around 7:15pm, the shop was already closed.
I went into the shop today and spoke with the taller male owner wearing specs who speaks with an Aussie accent. I told him I came on the 15th to redeem my voucher but they were closed. He assured me that on that day, the shop closed at 9pm. I then left the store. When I stepped out, I spoke with the other owner, a shorter male Chinese man who speaks with a Malaysian accent. I told the shorter owner what the taller owner said. I informed the shorter man that I was entitled to that free drink since I had arrived on the last day. He responded by saying that if I did not have money, I should not be coming around to drink bubble tea.
After checking the photo that I took, I returned and showed the taller man the photo to prove that the shop was already closed before 9pm. My photo was recorded as taken at 7:15pm on a15/12/2024.
He then changed his story to say that he closed on 14 Dec.
Shortly after, the other shorter owner, came out and ordered me to leave the store.
I would zero stars but Google forces me me to give at least one.
Thank you Happy Cup for lying to me and thanks also to the shorter owner who treated me like rubbish when he told me not to come around for not...
Read moreBest bubble tea ever! Definitely worth the check out if you love bubble tea it’s better than Chatime, gong Cha and all those other places. My new favourite is the snow shake but all the drinks taste sooo good. I went back to Chatime and after getting happy cup for a while and man I realised how bad it tastes lol. I wish there was more stores around the place of happy cup so we didn’t have to travel the 20-25 minutes. The staff there are always the same and they are super nice and I enjoy having a chat with them whenever I go. The store itself is a nice little cafe with seats and a couch so you can go with friends/ family sit down and enjoy...
Read moreWow, what a throwback! The place has surely changed quite a bit from what it was like a decade ago when it was the only bubble tea shop in the Glen. The original red pearl milk tea is like a hit of nostalgia with no funny mouth feels (some pearl milk teas kinda break down weird in my mouth - not sure how to better describe it!) Lots of seating indoors for those who want to have a chat but it's a lovely and quaint place.
Just providing a quick update - they charge 2% surcharge on credit which not a lot of bubble tea...
