Service and food has definitely deteriorated since new owners have taken over. Food quality not the best, very very oily. We had to pat down the fish & potato cakes with napkins to remove overly excessive oil.

Did not receive something i ordered. I separately ordered a seafood stick, when i rang, was asked for my account number. I prefer to go in & get a refund.

When going in to pick up my order, the staff member behind the counter served someone who went in after me. I was plainly waiting, but obviously invisible to him. Then he offered the customer a free drink as he paid by cash, when i paid by cash $40.00, he didnt!. When questioned, he said maybe 'next time'. Really? Both quality of food and staff has drastically changed. I won't be back. I have been coming here for years.

Too much competetion for Fish'n'chip shops in Burwood. I kept trying to be loyal, but food quality stays inferior & service like it is, sadly i wont be back.

Harry is a gentleman and the lady is very welcoming. If you want a classic fish and chips, look no further. Harry's is the place to go and it is open when others are closed. We ordered 4 snappers - two grilled and two fried. And large chips. They served us fresh food and were fair with portions. Fried chips and snappers were done to perfection - Crunchy on outside, soft and juicy inside. The grilled ones were perfectly done too! With a bit of lemon squeezed on top of it, it was the most delightful grilled snapper I had in long time - loved every bit of it. Absolutely HORRIBLE!!! This fish and chip shop use to be so great, fresh, crunchy chips. Tasty batter, and good quality fatty food. We ordered last night, and it was the worst fish and chips I’ve ever had! I had a burger, which was dry, tasteless and just yuk. I couldn’t eat it all. Not sure if they chips were really old, the oil was old or if they were cooked in some other way but they were dry, crumbly, and tasted disgusting. We threw out everything!! I’d have returned the order to complain but I had young children to get to bed and didn’t want to invest any more of my time with this horrible establishment.
