Hot House Pizza — Restaurant in Melbourne

I am not going to say that this shop does not make good pizza as this is still my families favourite. But this business has forgotten about good old customer service for customers that have been loyal for many years supporting them in the tough times. Tonight I ordered 1 family pizza which I paid and was told that will be 15 minutes as the shop was very busy thought it may be a little longer. Me and my young son waited out the front for roughly 25 minutes as we heard some people in the shop got told that there pizza wasn't ready so I thought I would ask if our order was ready we where told I will just check and then told sorry it hasn't even been made, Then I just got a guy yell out he did not come and talk to me he just said you will just have to wait I will make it straight away normally I don't care as people stuff up but waiting 25 minutes in the cold to be not even spoken to in a decent way I demanded a refund and received it. I'm not complaining to cause issues as this shop has great food. But they only care about the online orders now customer service does nor mean anything to this guy who was running it as he wasn't even kind enough to come and talk to me yelling at me through the shop looks like we find...

Okay Food, but Terrible Customer Service -

We made several attempts to make a phone order, but the calls failed after only a few rings (similar to when you hang up on someone). We then used their online ordering system, which was far more complicated then it needed to be (e.g., create an online profile, create a password etc. Mate, we’re ordering a pizza, not starting an eHarmony profile!).

When I got to the shop, it was chaos. The line of confused customers was spilling out the door. I got tended to after about five minutes and got told our pizzas were only 6-7 minutes away. I came back in after ten minutes and told our pizzas were just in the oven and wait two minutes longer. I waited another 15 minutes and asked how far away the pizzas were. They asked for my name - for the third time - and discovered my pizzas were ready ten minutes earlier, but didn’t call out my name.

[2025's review] Haven't ordered from them in a while. Today I placed an order online for pick up. Went into the store and was totally ignored by the worker at the front. I was standing directly in front of the counter and he did not want to serve me. He put a pizza in the box and gave it to a lady who was sitting down waiting and walked away. The person who was making the pizza had to come and serve me. Horrible service and also frustrating for his colleague who had to do his work.
