Urban Grill Kebabs — Restaurant in Melbourne

TLDR: Amazing kebabs, worth your $

Few of the reviews below speak about bad customer service, and when I walked in I met with the coldest person ever. I walked in and didn’t see the menu as it was behind me, and I was walking around looking at walls like a dum dum, this person doesn’t utter a word and points at the menu on the wall which I didn’t see. So ya it was an embarrassing start for me, but the person took the order (no smile, not friendly) and I sat down waiting for my food. I’m already writing a review in my head thinking 2 or 3 star, max!

Then the person behind the counter hands me the kebab, or should I say a behemoth of a kebab! It’s a proper FAT kebab (the kebab, not the person, don’t read into this stupid review too much)

So let me tell you why you should stop worrying about people not smiling at you and come here to buy your kebabs, also why my review is 5 ⭐️ instead of 2 ⭐️

like mentioned above these are proper fat kebabs, I’m a lightweight and couldn’t finish it in one sitting The aforementioned fa kebab is full of meat, not just a bunch of veggies to make it look fat The veggies in the kebab are fresh! You can heat the crunch of onions and lettuce when you bite into it Toasted to perfection, not burned, not soggy either (I started to eat my kebab within 10 minutes of picking up)

The sauces will get everywhere, so unless you’re a kebab hero, do yourself a favour and don’t eat it in your car.

I would rate negative to this awfull place. Pathetic customer service. The owner is extremely arrogant and does not know how to respect his customers. I placed the order earlier and while placing the order i confim the time and asked them if they to take my order and give me on time they agreed to it and when i went for pick up. I had to wait for a long time due to his uber eats orders. When I asked about my order he said they are busy and if I cant wait i can get lost. I was surprised to see that type of illiterate behaviour i told him i confim the time before ordering and i have been waiting patiently he started yelling at me and threw the money on my face. He threatened me to call cops which I told him if he is not doing it I will do it. I do not understand what kind of behaviour was that towards the customer. His own staff were requesting him to stop. I am not going back and would never recommend anyone to go to this...

I am writing this review with a heavy heart. I have been an avid eater of Urban Grill ever since they opened and they were great! Their iskendar sauce was exception and the doner kebabs and mixed grill was amazing! This was even till start of 2019. However, I am not sure what happened from then, but the quality has been such a let down its so sad. Their special iskendar sauce now just tastes like regular tomato sauce, their doner meats aren’t seasoned well, if at all, and their chicken shish meat has a weird fishy aftertaste. Also doner kebabs barely get any sauce put into them. Only their HSP is still sorta ok because the chips are good and they give a lot of sauce.
