Point Hook Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Melbourne

This has been our local go to fish and chips, we looked forward to going about once a fortnight. It was fantastic, fresh, hot and good value. $8 chips for example was enough to feed 3-4 people.

We got our usual on Friday night, fish, chips and burger. My son likes his own pack so we always get a $5 chips separate for him. It was terrible- uneatable. The fish was oily and cold, the chips were the worse, cold soggy and had no salt on them my son's $5 chips wasn't even enough for him (less than would fit in a chip bucket). I decided to try this place based on its high ratings, but unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to the hype. The shop looked fine from the outside and was relatively clean inside, but the strong smell of old oil hit me as soon as I walked in — and sadly, it carried through to the food. Delicious fish and chips! The best one in PC 👌👌👌👌👌 I’ve tried so many fish and chips in Melbourne and this one is probably the best I had. I am a regular customer here, fish and chips always consistent, they use fresh fishes. The flake is fluffy and tender meat inside, crispy and light batter outside.
