Ordered the Sugar Cane Prawns with Noodles and Salad but what I got was Seafood Extender not Prawns. I've had Sugar Cane Prawns in many places including Vietnam and whole Prawns were used every time. What I was served was thin slices of a fatty looking substance that looked more like sliced Chicken Fat in a Sugar Cane Batter. If you advertise Prawns you should serve Prawns. I took a small bite to taste and it was fatty and rubbery, so I just ate the Salad and Noodles and left the rest and walked out. The menu is extensive ranging from rice, noodles, and main dishes. The beef pho has a nice, flavourful broth. The Tom Yum noodle soup comes with thin rice noodles (beehoon) and surprisingly pretty good and doesn't taste like instant tom yum that you normally get from an Asian takeaway shop. By chance while attending an event in South Melbourne, I bumped into familiar faces - Glenda and her husband, at their new restaurant, Huy’s Kitchen in the heart of South Melbourne.
