Good place for large gatherings. There's a covered Bbq area with 2 electric barbeques. Another 4 nearby, uncovered. Sufficient bins in the vicinity. Small playground next to it. Public toilet nearby. Paid parking nearby $5.60 flat rate on weekends (as of Dec 2022). Should be able to find free parking too especially on weekends, within walking distance. Sweeping views of the lake with walking tracks. Can get pretty windy so consider clothing...

Great Picnic area with plenty of room for everyone. 2 bbqs available under shelter and another 4 hotplates available but without shelter. Beautiful views of the lake with swans in the area. This is a nice area but it has slipped and it shows. Amenities are not cleaned as often and general maintenance has slipped. The lake area is polluted quite a bit which is disappointing. From a distance it looks Lovely. Look closer. Being a city park I suppose it's somewhat to be expected but it is a pity. Otherwise nice place. I will be back and hopefully things...
