I recently had the pleasure of dining at I LOVE DUMPLINGS and it was an outstanding experience! The restaurant has a lovely ambiance, with warm lighting and inviting decor that sets a relaxing mood for a great meal. We started our culinary journey with the dumplings, which were a delight. Each one was perfectly steamed, with a flavorful filling and chill oil sauce. The dipping sauce added a wonderful depth to the experience, but what really caught my attention was the chili oil sauce they offered on the side. It was the perfect balance of heat and flavor, elevating the dumplings to another level! For the main course, I highly recommend the Mongolian beef. The beef was tender and succulent, stir-fried to perfection in a savory sauce that highlighted its rich flavor. The addition of green onions brought freshness to each bite, making it a standout dish on the menu. We also tried the honey chicken, which was a delightful mix of sweet and savory. The crispy chicken, coated in a luscious honey glaze, was an absolute hit. It paired beautifully with steamed rice, and the flavors complemented the Mongolian beef perfectly. The food is really good when it's right.

Today I had a really poor experience, we placed an order online as we do love this place for their beef/lamb Sichuan pan fried dumplings. We drove 22 minutes, picked up the food and went home.

Upon arriving home we found that the dumplings were not what we asked for. No sauce of any kind on it, literally just bare dumplings stuck together.

I called the store and said can I either get a refund or someone to deliver the sauces. I was told they would deliver fresh dumplings with the sauces, I expressed that we are 22 mins away they said it was fine. Waited 20 mins got a call back to say they would not be delivering as no driver would deliver to our address. Keep in mind our order was placed at 12:23pm and it is now 1:45pm.

At this point, we are hungry and quite annoyed that we waited another 20 mins for a false promise and basically no food. The old dumplings are now cold so we can't even have that. Spoke to the manager and he genuinely just kept cutting me off but he did agree to a refund which I am waiting on.

Overall, really frustrated that I've waited over an hour, wasted petrol for food I can't eat and that is not as requested. It's additionally frustrating when I asked initially for them to either deliver or refund and they opted to deliver, make me wait a further 20 mins and then say they can't.

Horrible experience at I love dumplings. Ordered 4 dishes and was told to come back in half an hour. When I came back half an hour later the server asked what I had ordered and when I told him I was there 30 mins ago he pretended like somebody accidentally took my order when in reality he didn’t even write my order in the first place as he quickly asked me what I ordered again (proceeded to write this down on a piece of paper). When I told asked him if he even took my order he said yes he did... lol (as he’s writing this down on a piece of paper). He said wait he’ll make the order again. Another 10 minutes I waited and they came out with the wrong rice. I ordered fried rice not steamed rice which is $10 cheaper than what I would have taken home.

What I suspected was true about them cooking the food quickly in 10 mins because all the food was undercooked including the rice and Normally a dish I enjoy eating, the sweet and sour pork. The batter around the pork was clearly underdone with sauce poured over it.

The rice wasn’t cook properly and was super salty.

Disappointing as normally I love their dumplings and sweet and sour pork. Might have come on an off night but it was shocking service tonight and poor handling by...
