👍 Good value for money 👍 Quick meal 👍 Easy transaction 👍 Children bowls and cups are available at the counter if you require it 🆗 Taste/Quality (Basic, does the job!) 😞 Didn't receive any customer service 😞 Children's cutlery was not available at counter or self service trays (only children knife options). Food was decent for cafeteria standards. The salmon (though a smaller fillet) was cooked well and was yummy with it's simple flavour combo with the potatoes, sauce and beans. We had the children sized meatballs which is honestly great value for what you're getting (5 meatballs). I'd personally get two different menu items instead of one adult size meatballs unless you love their meatballs. Fish and chips was basic as you can see from the photo. The pear cider was more diluted than the can cider you can buy but again this is cheap alternative (plus free refills). Don't have high expectations and you'll enjoy it. IKEA meals do the job while you burn off your energy browsing without breaking the bank! I rated the service 1 star because we had minimal service. When ordering our food in which the servers just nodded and gave the food - very business like. It didn't bother me but there is really no friendly customer service. The dining space was very spacious with lots of options to sit.

Well just like our IKEA in Perth (and probably every IKEA on the planet), we were drawn to the food and beverage items at reasonable prices located smack bang in the middle of the maze that is the store. You work up quite an appetite wandering aimlessly for hours looking at the many things you can buy unless you cheat and take one of the few shortcuts. The food is quite delicious with fairly generous servings for the price you pay. It can get busy at times but worth the wait. Just do the right thing by clearing your own table. It's not that hard but there were quite a few people who didn't. Once you are finished, it's off to wander aimlessly again hoping you can find the exit without a trolley or two full of flat packs you have no idea you picked up. Use all you will power to try to get past the food offerings too once you get past the checkouts. Good luck to you weary traveller.

Poorly run. Understaffed. Seems as if they recruit the slowest international students currently at Monash. Big queues even at 11:16am. Appear not to understand if you have 3 people on the hot food counter rather than serve one person at a time, the 3 could serve 3 groups and get their meals and move the line faster. The soft drinks appeared so watered down in taste it's likely they make a single bottle last all day. There must be an eye dropper of flavour and 99.99% water. As for the main meals; vegetables look like WW2 rationing: literally a table spoon of mash and a small collection of peas drowning in a sea of gravy. I admittedly haven't been for a couple of years but the food standards are really low now as is the staffing and it appears the supervision. I think I've seen better canteens at factories.

Busy as normal, had both sides open and this meant the wait wasn't to long. Got the 12 meat ball combo with chips etc... This was fine as normal, it ain't gourmet but it's tasty and filling and cost effective. My only issues were again the soda fountain was down to 2 out of 5 flavours the other 3 were just pumping out soda water. Finally there were no soft seats to sit in and have coffee and cake, all the seats were chairs in front of tables. (Glad to say the sofas & chairs are back yay!) I like to sit read the news on my phone drink some coffee while my better half goes shopping. They brought back the sofas and comfy arm chairs. Hence the up grade from 4 to 5 star rating! Just a side note, their market is now showing signs of stock shortages i.e. no cinnamon scrolls, a lot of the pick n mix lollies & biscuits as well as the normal meat balls being out of stock as well, June 2022. Note coffee cups have gone American, they are...

I have been to IKEA Springvale many times and today was one of the days I was bit shocked and disappointed at the standard. IKEA has clearly drop the standard. Especially the resturant area. The food was good but I struggle to find clean cutlery. The cutlery they have had so many marks of previous usage and some knifes still had pieces of food in them. We had to clean our own cutlery ourself. And then you go to tables and most tables are empty but not been cleaned. The chairs have dirty marks. I also try to use the male toilets near the resturant and even that is not been cleaned. There is mess all over the place. And when we try to go through the check outs there was only one assisted check out open. When we buy few items I prefer to go through the assisted check out as it is much easier. Clearly there is lack of staff at store. I really hope that IKEA will lift there standard and go back to the great service they...
