Amazing local brewery with pizza 🍕
Firstly - the beer 🍺 is AMAZING. We started with a couple of tasting paddles. From the light and crisp, easy drinking options to the "you almost need a knife and fork to consume it" fuller bodied options - the on tap menu has it all. My absolute favourites are the "Hopped out Red" and the "Betelgeuse" but it is all down to personal preferences. The good news is that the tasting notes are brilliant and help you choose according to your palate.
Then there is the food. A simple menu of woodfired pizza 🍕 😋 The Funghi is simple and sublime. A pizza between two people is plenty, and will leave you room for dessert and more beer. The Nutella and Strawberry Calzone is an experience. Not one to take on alone - best shared.
Location is good. About a 300m walk from Huntingdale Station. Atmosphere is a little noisy - but not overwhelming.
Booking is easy and ESSENTIAL. It gets busy and tables are turned over.
Definitely...
Read moreA great place to go in less busy times for food and drink. My recent experience at trivia night could have been better though. I think the team should consider working out some issues during busy periods: perhaps a QR code ordering system so people aren't spending so long lining up to order food and drink, a table numbering system so the right orders get to the right tables, an accessible self-serve water/plates/napkins area, and a better set up of chairs and tables so people can walk around more easily. Trivia specific improvements: better screen set up so everyone in the room participating can see the screen (important as it's hard to hear the questions), and properly consenting people before having cameras pointing at them throughout the night. Would be keen to come back for trivia here if these issues are worked on. Quizmeisters is great.
Note: Parking on the street is 2P Monday to Friday...
Read moreA place for beer and pizza lovers. This place offers a fun atmosphere with catchy arts, merchandise and friendly staff who'll keep your belly full! I did go around checking the place out and all the decor. The interior is perfect for both kids and adults. I really enjoyed my schooner on a hot day alongside the massive chicken BBQ pizza. The marinated olives were so interesting to me and yet so refreshing after all the food. They have both indoor and outdoor seating space with something for all ages on their menu. There is an old bus on display for the kids to go around. The restrooms are behind the kitchen, ample on street parking and they have another brewery down in Dandenong. The only thing that bothered me was having no air-conditioning inside to deal with the infuriating heat. That could be something for them...
